First time visiting this record store I was amazed of the amount of selections. I came for getting few records and whoever who helped me thank you I forgot to ask his name had been helpful, patience in selecting jazz records for me. I ended up with a couple great rare records with half or even lower of the price. Definitely recommended this place.

This place Surely blows Rockaway Records out of the water. From used music & movies on various formats..to collectable rarities. Poo-bah is the embodiment of what a record should be..

Great selection of pop and rock vinyls to choose from. Great way to spend the day browsing thru the racks for a few old classic albums to listen to.

i couldn't tell if the record shop has been open recently according to another review they stated that it wasn't. i was in the area and stopped by to take a look but they were closed. i had visited in the past and enjoyed it's inventory and selection they always had. it's easily accessible if you're in the city or coming off the freeway. i hope to come back and visit in the future.

Excellent, excellent record shop! The owner is so nice! I came in and found a great selection of records. Anything you want, he can order for you. What is so great about this spot is the history of the business and the huge variety. Also...some of the best record prices I've seen.

Love supporting local small businesses. Highly recommend this spot for some cool finds and great customer service!

Wow! We hadn't been here since before Covid hit, and cannot be happier with the store. Not only was the guy behind the counter super friendly and helpful, but the place looks great! We LOVE the wall color, and the pegboard looks so nice, too. Excellent prices and a great selection!

This was such a better experience than a few years ago when the place was dirty with explicit rap blasting.

I've been going here for longer than I care to admit. Its original location on Walnut had more character as it was in a little house with a head shop next door. Those were the days! They would have bands play in the backyard with a keg from time to time and sometimes the headlining Act from Perkins Palace or the Pasadena Civic would stop by on show day and the sign autographs and shake hands. The walls were fun to look at as they were adorned with all kinds of Musical and non-musical eye candy. But the staff was amazing and knowledgeable and some of them became friends for life. The one on Colorado Boulevard which isn't so new anymore is a bit larger and has probably more stock but less charm although I'm still glad they remain in business. Digging through the used vinyl is still worth the treasure hunt.

I remember walking into their shop when it was in a house off of Walnut, I bought my first LP there and was introduced to great music thanks in part to my mom. You can't possibly walk into this store intent upon purchasing one item, unless you're getting stickers --- good luck buying just one --- and not walk out with good music in hand. Forget all the fad shops just now jumping on the vinyl wagon, PB had been doing it for over 20 years, go here you won't regret it.

I've only been here once and it's a real class act. Great talkative workers, a dj up top, and amazingly cheap used vinyl, and a really tight collection of newer records. Great place if you're looking for psyche rock, punk, experimental, and jazz records.

Love Poo-Bah records. This is the type of place where you go in looking for 1 CD or LP and come out with a hand full of CDs that you love, but haven't listened to in several years. Browsing through their store is like taking a trip to lyrical memory lane.

Be careful, don't bring too much money. The more money you bring, the more you will spend.

We spent a couple of hours perusing the vinyl. I found a lot of great records in the 50 cent boxes. I'll be back next time we're in the area. Great GREAT record store!!!

Poobahs was heaven in the 80's and early 90's. Haven't been there in 25 years but it used to be the best record store in Dena. Moby Disc was always a close second.

This is THE place for good vinyl LPs and CDs in Los Angeles. If you want to tune into the soul of the LA music scene, here's a great place to start.

Pro Tip: for a nice Sunday music lovers' afternoon w/ a special somebody, I'd recommend visiting Poo-bah's and Zephyrs, a cafe/hookah shop 5 mins walking. Share your affinity for Roy Ayers and espresso - save the world.
