S&R Wine and Liquor

This place is the best! I came here the other day to get a gift for my boyfriend and the tall gentleman with long hair/bun was so helpful and knowledgeable! I explained that my bf likes whisky specifically the one with the running horse bottle cap/stopper. He instantly pulled out a bottle with a horse called “Blanton’s Original Single Barrel”, but I told him I didn’t think it was the same one. It was the last box so purchased it anyways because it was a pretty bottle and the gentleman said it was rare and hard to find. Turns out this is THE running horse bottle that my boyfriend has been trying to find for over 4 years now!!!!! My bf was ecstatic and shocked I was able to get it for him! Huge thank you to the gentleman who helped me…I can’t believe you knew exactly what horse bottle I was talking about and that you actually had it in stock! I’m so impressed!!

I have to say that finding this store was awesome. I had some time to kill before my flight, so I ventured into DC to see what stores had to offer. I only stopped here, and that was all I needed to do. Selection top notch for bourbon. Some really good stores picks to boot and lots of hidden gems all over the place. I would give it 6 stars of I could. Wine selection was awesome as well. The owner was so helpful and loved to talk about various bourbons and taste profiles. They have a passion for the industry, and it shines through. They want you to get what you like and do not pressure you into something that you will regret.

Lovely well-stocked liquor store. We came here to store our luggage as a part of the Bounce service. The owners were very personable and sweet. Lots of high quality liquor stocked all around. Nice personal touch that is so often missing these days.

We stopped by here on our way home while we had friends in town to grab some supplies for cocktail night. Not only was the selection great but Ray chatted with us and helped us celebrate our friend being cancer free! It was a bright spot of the day with just some fun human kindness. Thanks ray! The locals of this group def know where to grab their liquor from now on

First time in yesterday and won't be the last. Very friendly, but not pushy, staff. Know their stuff. Tasters available. Good range. Decent prices for where it is.

This is my favorite liquor store anywhere, and we go in every time we're in DC. The owner is great, and he has great whiskey recommendations every time. We'll be there again Friday and are looking forward to it (a little too much maybe 😀).

We just visited S&R Liquors and Vinny was awesome with helping us find the passion fruit liqueur we were looking for. He also introduced us to a delicious tequila! We will be back for our next purchases!

It's a MUST to stop into S&R whenever I'm in town. They have literally everything! They have items that cannot be found in many other places. Ray and Vinnie are always welcoming and accommodating! They are extremely knowledgeable and just simply nice people. Great prices, great people, great location!

S&R Wine and Liquor not only has the best prices and selection, the owners work their butts off to make sure you are happy and informed. This type of service is a rare find. I would give them higher rating if I could, because I now model my customer service after theirs. I especially recommend for high end gifts.

Good prices, huge selection, willing to work to get you want you want if they don't have it, tastings, etc. This place has and does it all. If you work downtown and need booze, go here.

My go-to place for wine recommendations, especially when gifting. Vinnie is the nicest and incredibly knowledgeable. I always feel like I’m getting the best recommendation, not just being pushed to buy the most expensive bottle. The location is also super convenient to the Red and Blue/Orange/Silver lines or for anyone working downtown.

Amazing! These guys went out of their way to help me find a special and very hard to find gift for a friend. Responded quickly to emails, held the gift aside for me (although it was in high demand) and were super kind and friendly when I got to the store. Great local business. Be sure to stop in- you will not be disappointed.
