First (and probably only) review I've ever done. Stefon (apologize if I misspelled) was just great. My girlfriend found a shoe she liked but the color she wanted wasn't in stock, so he called both of BRRC's other stores and found it for us. He reserved those shoes at the other store so we could just swing by and pick it up...Just a great guy and good vibes.

An incredibly positive first-time experience. Nearly every time I shop for any article of clothing, I dread it, it's unpleasant, and I'm mildly depressed for a day afterward. Not this time. Running shoes aren't cheap, and I EXPECTED to leave feeling vaguely cheated and unsure whether I made the right choice! BUT - with the friendly, knowledgeable, and personal service provided by Michael, I left feeling like I'd definitely gotten the exact right shoes for me, and like the price I paid was worth it. (Side note: I was curious and checked, and the price I paid for my shoes at Big River was identical to the price on Amazon, so this is a definite no-brainer.) If you want to start running and are intimidated by getting the correct shoes, this is the place to go. Thanks Michael, and thanks to whoever owns this joint for creating the "culture" that makes this possible.

This was the best customer service and shopping experience I've ever had! Stefaun was AMAZING!!! I'm not from the area, found the store from a google search and was very pleased that I checked them out. Definitely telling everyone I know about this place! Great selection and great prices as well! 5 stars for sure! I will be returning.

Best experience in a store like this ever. Mark was amazing and took care of my sister’s requests with so much ease. The whole time we were so happy we managed to get helped by him! Love you Mark!!!

Stefon helped me for probably 2 hours finding 3 great pair of running shoes, socks, and inserts. He was so incredibly kind and knowledgeable when it comes to all things running. He made me feel very comfortable during the running assessment. I have been running in my new gear for about a month and it has all been awesome! Can’t say enough positive things about my experience here and with Stefon!

In town from out of state. Didn't prepare for all the walking and ended up with sore feet and blisters. Woman working dove in to help without hesitation. Was pulling all different things off the shelves, even tying the shoes on for us. NEVER have had this kind of excellent service anywhere, yet alone for some shoes. Hate this place is over 5 hrs from home- or we would DEFINITELY return.

Excellent customer service from Mark at the South City store today. He really listened to me and dialed right in to my perfect shoes. I have been a customer for years and I have tried other places, but the selection, service attitude, and their knowledge is just exceptional

I've been coming here for years because the shoes and the service are both the best in town. Michael fitted my son & me for shoes today, and each pair he found fit like a glove. It was hard to make a choice in the end, because they were all so perfect! I'm pretty hard to fit, so the knowledge and service they bring here makes a huge difference to me.
I should also note that they don't just sell running shoes. I come here for cross training shoes, and they send me home with someone that works well for me every time. If for some reason your shoes don't work for you, they have a 30 day return policy, even if you've worn the shoes. It's great! We come here every time we need new athletic shoes.

I had a great experience at the Big River Running Company location on Devonshire in South STL. Stefon was so helpful in assisting me find the right pair of shoes for my job. He was so friendly, and even when picking up a pair of ordered shoes 2 weeks later, he remembered our names! I'll definitely be back for any future needs.

Customer service here was 5 star. Reps were helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Shoe selection was also good. Highly recommend using them for your running shoes needs.

I didn't really know what to expect other than a store full of shoes but I ended up very impressed. Charlie was personable, knowledgeable and professional and his comments based on a look at the bottom of my shoes were spot on. Equally impressive was the fact that I could choose from 4 pairs of shoes - quite rare for 13W feet. I would have no hesitation about returning when I need another pair or recommending the store for anyone who is looking for good fitting, high quality shoes.

Great experience with buying here. I broke my foot and my doctor recommended getting a pair of Hoka One's. I live on the other side of the river, and no other stores had decent looking pairs, they were all bright flashy colors. I called here and he set a few pairs in my size aside for me to try out. Thank you again for your generosity.

This is an incredible shop for runners. Everyone here is very helpful. They used the tech they have in the store to help me get the best fitting pair of running shoes I'd ever had up to that point (what are now the New Balance Vongos, which are good for heavy heel-striking runners with overpronation). I ran my first two marathons in them. When I wore them out I came back to get the same updated model. Highly recommended.

Great shop and excellent service. As a novice runner, I was just using my normal tennis shoes. As my duration and intensity increased, I started having mild discomfort in my ankles and heels. After doing some research I realized I needed to replace my shoes. I didn't want to go to the mall and randomly pick shoes based on color and the "running shoe" label. So based on the excellent reviews, I headed to Big River Running Company. I was immediately greeted, tested and brought shoe options. No pressure sales and great advice. Thanks Riley. Just finished my first run and it was a night and day difference. Well worth the money.

Great store! The staff were super helpful, knowledgeable, and patient in assisting me in finding the shoe that fit well, and felt enjoyable when on a run.
Definitely a boon for me who was making the transition into using proper running shoes from using only cross-trainers.

What an amazing experience. Steve was the person who assisted me during my visit. He asked a lot of questions to find the perfect shoe for me. When he went in back to get shoes he brought out several pairs and asked more questions until the right shoe was narrowed down. The customer service I received was beyond excellent! I will most certainly be back in the future.

Had an excellent experience the South City Store and especially with Kara who assisted my mom (86) in fitting a good pair of walking shoes to feet with challenges. She was so kind, professional and patient and found several options that could have worked. My mom was most pleased and satisfied that she had such good service, to say nothing of how much she liked her shoes. Way to help all kinds of people moving! A good pair of shoes really helps seniors stay on the move.

I don't normally write reviews but the customer service of this company and their employee, Chris, was phenomenal. I went in to buy some running shoes and Chris was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He had me try several pairs of different shoes until I was comfortable with my Asics that I purchased. I will be sure that I will continue purchasing running shoes from Big River Running for my wife and myself I couldn't have had a better experience.
