Nice store. I'm always amazed at the variety of products that they have here. My wife and I have been coming here for many years and when we're on vacation we have to stop.

They moved to a new location and got bigger.

The prices are always good. There are many clothes, shoes, books, furniture and a lot of kitchen items.

There is an electronic section.

This is going to a good cause. They support the community.

Parking lot was accessible. Easy access to the front door.

The area is always clean and nice.

Thanks again for your support of the community.

Very nice lady, prices were cheap. Payed $11 for 8 items, which included clothes, a belt, and a book. Will come back if I visit North Carolina again.

Every day they have divers merchandise. Volunteers are extremely helpful and will haggle. I love to haggle the price down, then pay at least their asking price. All proceeds go to the Cashiers community so, go and buy, buy, buy !!

I don't know about you, but I love a good well-organized junky thrift shop. Although crowded, this store for the bill! The prices are good, service fine, and there selection ever-changing. We found table linens and a lamp.

I've always found something interesting here. The prices have never been outrageous. It's packed full of items, which makes it an adventure to see what kind of things you may find.

I’ve been coming to this thrift store for years. It’s always been kind of “junky” so I’m used to it. If you’re used to a well organized, prices marked, nicer quality items this isn’t the thrift for you. I watched a woman with several items be charged $62 total and I was surprised and judging by her facial expression so was she but she paid. I asked for prices on each item before deciding which to buy. Which is kind of annoying. There should definitely be more set pricing especially for clothing. The volunteer was very friendly on my visit. My mother said her experience a few days prior was not the case.

This place is nice if you’re looking for plates, fabric, and overall home decor. The clothing selection is minimal in sizes small to medium. The variety is in L to XL. When looking at coats a lot of them had stains (surprised it was accepted for sale). I will have to agree with the prior review, there’s no price tags so I’m not sure what is being charged for a stained coat lol and it is completed crowded. I almost tripped while walking around since the walking space was so tiny with things everywhere. The front balcony was covered in things thrown everywhere. However, I don’t expect much since it is after all, a thrift store.

A Call for Community and Compassion: Enhancing Sustainability at Our Local Thrift Store

Dear Management and Community,

I recently had the pleasure of connecting with your team about donating items to your thrift store, and it got me thinking about the collective impact we can make in our community.

I understand that the store has its challenges, particularly in selling certain items. Your commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management is commendable. However, I'd like to propose some ideas that not only align with these values but also foster a stronger sense of community and support for those in need.

Firstly, I'd like to suggest exploring options like arranging pickups for unsold items through services like Goodwill. This not only minimizes the environmental impact of sending unwanted or unsold items to the dump but also extends the life of these goods, potentially benefiting individuals who might not have access to your store.

Additionally, introducing a "Free Section" could be a transformative step. Many people in our community may be struggling financially and, while hesitant to spend money, could greatly benefit from essential items. This initiative not only reduces waste but creates a channel for goodwill and generosity within our community.

Understanding the challenges your thrift store faces, I believe these proposals can not only enhance the environmental aspect but also contribute significantly to addressing poverty. By redirecting unsold items to those in need, we can collectively make a positive impact on individuals who may be experiencing financial hardships.

I am confident that, as a community, we can work together to create a more sustainable and compassionate environment. Your thrift store has the potential to be a beacon of positive change, demonstrating that profitability and community support can coexist harmoniously.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am optimistic that, together, we can make a difference that resonates beyond the walls of your store.

If you are part of the community and read this, please advocate for it.

Warm regards

Whoever is working prices the items, so it’s hit or miss as far as cost goes. Sometimes they price fair, sometimes pretty high. I haven’t been a single time when they didn’t close at least an hour early, and after a 30 minute drive to get there, it’s pretty annoying how inconsistent they are. They have good stuff, but good luck getting anything. Cash only and only open sometimes, and if you’re thinking you can call to make sure they’re staying open full hours, think again. They don’t answer the phone. Nice enough people. Inefficiently and poorly run.

I was at Cashiers Thrift Store today, saw some new placemats that the lady at the desk told me were $1.00 each. I thought this was a fantastic deal, since they appeared new, with tags. I had 4 sets of 6 gathered up waiting to pay and then another lady appeared and said those placemats are half the ticket price. I told the lady that the other lady (who was sitting right there) told me they were only a dollar each. She said well she told you incorrectly and repeated that they were half off. I said I don’t want and returned to the shelf. If I had been told the correct price when I asked, I would have bought at half price, but wouldn’t have bought at any price after the price had been changed. So I guess that the only person that can decide what the price is the one with the attitude!

We were visiting this area and excited about trying this thrift store. The elderly woman working at the cash register was fairly rude. Also, instead of having set, fair prices, we had to bring every item to her and she gave us crazy high prices for things. The store is also very cluttered and full of junk. Hopefully they get someone to fairly price this store and start moving stuff out of there.
