Excellent selection of trains, accessories, track, and even toys for the kids. Train service and support was excellent and the guys are helpful and knowledgeable all around. I am a kid again. Thank you. Ceiling layout is complete, just 1 more tweak remains.

Warning! Leave your wallet in the car...this place has everything! This hobby shop ranks with the largest inventories I've seen in Chicagoland and by far the best presented. I stepped in, saw the mega-inventory, stepped back outside and said a "don't spend too much prayer," and went back in. If you've only experienced anemic inventories of stores trying to hang on (and please do hang on, and please support your local hobby shop!) then you need to pop into this place. But leave plenty of time. They had all the new stuff, stuff from recent years, and my favorite part - old hard to find kits, trains, toys...also neatly arranged. All the prices appeared competitive and very good value for money on the used stuff. Here's another bonus--a large kids toy section and not all the giant plastic junk in the aisles of T****t and W**M**t. Guaranteed there's dozens of items your kids have not seen before and will want to have, and you prefer they have. Toddlers to Teens. Go!!! Check out ABTT&H. Support your local hobby shop...spend the extra dollar to keep them open. It's much more exciting than another box on your doorstep!

Highly recommend for all thing model train related. The owners are so very knowledgeable and love to share their knowledge with you. My son had questions on a DCC controller and was given multiple options based on his future plans for his layout.

Stopped in here for the first time on November 21, 2022. The store is PACKED full of stuff. Their website doesn't do justice to the items this store carries. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful when I asked. Probably one of the best overall hobby stores I've been in recently in terms general experience with the amount of items, staff expertise, helpfulness etc.

I really like buying train track here because of the prices and I can make sure it is perfect.
I thought I was careful selecting bulk track, they checked it at the register and found one was the wrong curve size which made me happy, thanks guys.

My family has been shopping here for years. The people who work here may be gruff at times, but they are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and talented with trains. They have guided me through starting my son's new train hobby, made quality repairs (when my son broke his train) at a reasonable price, and have answered my millions of questions with patience and a real desire to encourage me as a train enthusiast. Half of the store is full of other great toys, like Brio and Thomas trains, as well as model kits and other treasures. I highly recommend this place. Just don't bring all your friends at once. It is small, but you could get lost in here for hours among the tightly packed treasures!

Walking into this store now is amazing. The owner has reorganized this shop so beautifully. If you're looking for that hard to locate part, especially for Lionel he has it. His repairs are second to none. Ed in n scale took almost 2 hours to help me plan a helix for my model railroad. The toy section is bigger then any toy store I have been to, and is nicely organized.

Mike was excellent help and very informative. He took time to test my locomotive and power pack, walked me through several replacement options, and even got down on his hands and knees to build a basic layout. I loved my experience and can’t wait to go back. The place is packed to the rafters the way a good hobby shop ought to be.

Stumbled on this great train and toy store that had far more than what I expected. They specifically specializing in carrying trains of various scales and accessories, but they carry new and used toys, books, magazines, and models. You can easily spend an hour looking around. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend.

My boys LOVE this place. Way better than the toys at big box stores. They have tons of hidden gems and a huge variety. Great for kids and train enthusiast. If you are searching for a unique gift please check this place out.

Wow! Unbelievable amount of trains and hobby stuff. If they don't have it no one has it!

The store was awesome! There was literally stuff piling up on the shelves, going to the ceiling! And the place is HUGE! There is TONS of stuff to look at. Prices were decent, large selection, wide range of products, and there really is something for everyone there. The employees treated us very nicely, despite what other reviewers said. Cool and rare train stuff (for all gages), toys, and more. There's even really nice sales every once in a while, like today it was 20% off LEGO and discount summer toys. Anyone with a hobby should go.

Ok this is the place to go if you are looking for Model train goodies ! O my Lord !! This place is unbelievable the merchandise is wall to wall floor to ceiling ! I don't care what you are looking for . If this hobby store doesn't have it Tony the owner will try and find it for you . I guarantee you will be amazed !! Not just Trains but games model cars airplanes ships and the good stuff from years past ! Seriously you'll want to stay and look at every single thing that Tony has it is seriously amazing !!
