Marianne's Chocolates

We live in the candy belt so we have a lot of amazing confections in this area...that being said, Marianne's is my favorite chocolate by far! They are right in the historic Ashtabula Harbor in a shop that reminds you of the candy store in Willy Wonka! The marshmallow pecan squares are amazing, but go for dark chocolate! The chocolate suckers are also my favorite for gifting. So many types to choose from!

We have a weekend getaway at Geneva State Lodge, once per year. We were given a sample of Marianne's chocolate, while staying there, a couple of years ago. Some of the best chocolate we've ever had. Since then, we make it point, to drive to Ashtabula to pick up a supply. They have a large assortment of types. One of our favorites is the Red Savina. Like others have mentioned, the smell that permeates the small shop, is worth the trip.

This place has grown so much since I first came in over 5 years ago! Nice staff, great selection to satisfy my sweet tooth, and the beef sticks were great too! Polite staff always willing to chat and answer questions and hand out samples. I hope they're still there and I can visit their cheese shop my next visit to Ashtabula.

Wow, I got 2 of the milk chocolate sea salt and caramel truffles. Best truffles ever! Told my husband that from this day on, those are my goto chocolates... a not-so-subtle hint. Anyway, best range of fudges, chocolate and everything I imagined a dream chocolate factory to have. Thanks !

Just dropped in for a few things. My first visit. Nicely presented, very friendly person at the counter, and I was really happy they were open til 6.

A wonderful little chocolate store. There is a large selection of chocolates and fudge. There are also some honey and mayple syrup and jams sold here as well.
The store is very well kept and easy to navigate. Great place to support the local businesses. If you have a sweet tooth make sure to stop here.

We stayed at a near by bed and breakfast and stopped in. The place was amazing, so many different types of chocolate. We got 6 truffles, a half pound of fudge and dark chocolate espresso beans. I couldn’t even make it back to the car without eating a truffle. All were very good and will return.

Amazing selecting of candy and snacks. Some small boutique selection of clothes and jewelry as well. Friendly staff worth a visit for sure.

To much chocolate lol just kidding there's never to much chocolate. I had a black raspberry chocolate covered egg and it was very yummy. Friendly workers

I used to think Malley’s was the best chocolate in the land until I moved to the Harbor. Having had Marianne’s there is simply no acceptable alternative for chocolate in Ohio. Great staff and you can tell they put a lot of love into each and everything they produce there. A true gem 💎

This was the cutest chocolate shop. The treats here are divine especially the truffles and the chocolate covered potato chips. Can't wait until I can get more.

Live in Warren, Ohio & make the trip up at least once a year for their Dark Chocolate Bark with Sea Salt. Perfect blend of flavors. Always buy some as gifts, too.

The peanut butter fudge will lighten your wallet, reminds me of the movie Willy Wonka in the Chocolate Factory!!!!!!!

I love going to this chocolate shop and visit there every time I'm in the Harbor. Using some restraint, I managed to limit myself to about $40 of my favorites.

Absolutely delicious. Great quality. I grew up enjoying this candy/ chocolate, I've passed down the tradition to my children and now to my grandchild. Highly recommend.

Fantastic selection of homemade candies and fudge, locally made preserves, and a wide array of cheeses. Also, a great selection of scoopable ice cream!
