As a 5'10" female so naturally it's hard to find a pair of jeans that Not only fits me right but isn't $100 or more per pant. I was able to buy 3 pairs of name brand heans that looked brand new for $70 and they fit me like a glove! Patti is picky on what she takes in so you know when you shop there you are only going to find quality products but at a price you can't walk away from. Not only is this store filled with treasures for just about everyone, but Patti Heinz (owner) is a gem to the town of Fruita. She is huge in supporting local businesses in fruita as much as she possibly can. You have to check out this store, you won't be disappointed.

LOVE THIS PLACE, its the best tack store ive found on the western slope. Highly recommend stopping by, they have averything from boots to hackemores. Also, the people are so kind and helpful.

This place has it all! Some much variety in one stop! We enjoyed visiting with the sweet lady there and she knows right where everything is! Shopping local stores is the best!

A nice little shop with a variety of items to choose from. Tack, clothing, or jewelry and something in between. The proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Even went the extra distance to contact the seller for additional questions and pricing.

What a great variety of all kinds of western, horsey stuff. Gifts, decor, clothes and tack. We had a great time looking and still didn't see it all. Fair prices and friendly service!

I love this store! So many unique and fun findings that aren’t “run of the mill, find anywhere” items. It’s fun to go peruse and find things that weren’t there the last time. The owner is super sweet, easy to work with and a beautiful and proud and involved member of the community. It a place that’s easy to spend $$ at, so I have to give myself a budget before walking through the doors. Definitely an asset to the community of Fruita.

As a husband I am always looking for the right gift for my wife, daughter, and mother. I know that the things I get will be quality, unique, and perfect. The owner has always been happy to help and show me the things I should get and then wrap them if I need. Over the years I am sure to have our friends and family visit this amazing little store of local items, western decor, hanging art and sooo much more. They always have the perfect gift. For me it is the only place to shop. And I know I will always be meet with a smile and feel value in visiting their store.

It's a lot packed in a little shop it takes a while to really see it all. The owner is very nice and is a great representative of the community.

This was my first time going to this store. I was in need of some random pieces of tack so I googled places nearby. Even though it was a little over and hour drive for me, it caught my eye. I had no idea I would then spend 2 hours browsing around the store finding neat things ranging from clothing-home decor- tack and so much more. The owner was the nicest lady that helped me out with whatever advice she could from her past experiences. Kudos to her for keeping such an awesome store where horse people can unite !

There is always something awesome in this store! The owner has great gifts for anyone you need, I have bought many gifts and they always rock! If you are passing through it is a great place to meet a couple that has helped the local community in so many way, get a gift anyone will love and see what our town is all about this is where I would start!!

They carry awesome top shelf Western clothes, unique gifts and so many quality items not found in cookie cutter Western stores. But the owner, Patti Heinz is the real shining star. She goes out of her way to make each customer feel welcome, and if she doesn't have what you are looking for she'll help you find where to go for it. Patti is a genuinely good person who seems born to help. She also spends a lot of time and effort
helping 4-H and FFA kids, sometimes even closing up shop to attend events to support the kids and their projects. I shop at Cowboy Mercantile regularly and reccomend this store to anyone.

I would happily travel 14 hours to visit Patti’s store! The knowledge and selection are second to none and I have never found a store that meets the quality or wide selection of both functional items and unique style pieces. The Cowboy Mercantile is a cornerstone of the community.
