Not only an easy trail to gain a view of Fruita and the surrounding BLM and national monument lands, but also a terrific place to watch fireworks on independence day. Easy enough to walk at night. Trails have been redone. Interesting history of the area too, as well. Plenty of wildlife and flowers, at the right time of year.

Kind of rough but well worth the hike around on a dry day. If recently wet you may end up slipping in some of the clays in areas. But then again you may see some recently exposed fossilized wood or a piece of bone. Geologist will love it.

The trail was getting a facelift during our last visit, so we are excited to see the final results!

This is an amazing experience. My husband and I came here 2 years ago and loved it so much we decided to move to Grand Junction to be closer so we can go more often.

We have always enjoyed our time at Dinosaur Hill; on this occasion, however, we were locked out. It was a week day in the morning.

A nice trail around a historical paleontological dig site. The original dig's cut is still preserved. If the ground is wet the trail can be muddy and slippery on the inclines.

Great multi terrain hike progressing from flat to short hill climbs. Quite easy to circumvent the whole trail in a very reasonably short time yet still feel exercised. My favorite features it's dog friendly

Great place for rockhounding. The whole hill is littered with ground scores. No digging necessary. We were also able to park overnight for free in our skoolie.

Good short hike for kids or adults, trail becomes uneven, we go counterclockwise to make the hardest bits uphill.

Restrooms. Kiosks explaining the history. Very little shade and trails are moderately difficult. Summer time visits should be made early morning or late afternoon. It's hot in the summer, no water

What a lovely very easy trail, the scenery is so spectacular , there are so many little spots to stop and take in the view and snap some special moments. Plus it is free. You should also go to the Dinosaur Journey muesum , just 6 mins away, and check out some of the amazing fossil and other dinosaur collections, going here then going on the trails make it so much more fun.

This was such a fun, small, family friendly hike! Goes around a hill and passes by the opening of a mine where a dinosaur was excavated. It's a loop trail, it does get rocky and uneven in places but not too challenging. Bathrooms and a small pavilion are located at the trail head. Highly recommend!

Great hike for the kids. Took the grandkids and it was fun reading the signs, the view is breathtaking. Go when it's cooler because it's a good hike up and down the hill.

Nice place for a hike, take water, its steep at times and it's hot but benches to sit on with shade and a restroom

Great hike. A little steep and rugged on the south side, but still enjoyed it. Lots of history.
