Plaza Garibaldi

First time here and it was really awesome! They have almost anything you could want or need from Mexico. Fruits, vegetables, drinks, dry goods, frozen and even a meat market. Pretty good prices, some things as you can imagine are more expensive than normal cause these items are coming from Mexico. The store is extremely clean and the staff is helpful. Authentic Mexican food and items!

It's authentic right to the tamale husks, sweet bread and tortillas but best of all..It's soooo clean and immaculate like the Virgin Statues that bless this business ! I have to come back and try the little restaurant and bar inside the store.
Update I came back iso Mexican food to compare with California. The place was empty which concerned us. Maybe it's not California but it's comparable to Real Mexico down the street. The servers are very limited in English so check out the menu before you go and point!

Anyone who hasn't tried the Tacos Al Pastor here is missing out.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food, and a small grocery store with produce you won't find anywhere else.

Absolutely delicious, super fast pick up, attached to a international fresh food market with fresh product and meat along with dried good and candy, all of this was 16! Corn on the cob was 2!

Amazing selection of Spanish foods / spices / kitchen items they had zombie takis as well which my son had been asking for!!! The hot food in the restaurant was also great

Ive ordered from here 2 times, both were excellent! I didnt know this place was a grocery store, i thought this was onky a restraunt! Great food at pretty good prices!

Stopped in and was amazed by the selection of Mexican food in the grocery. Had lunch at the attached restaurant and had the best Mexican food we have found in South Carolina. The best since we spent three months living in Mexico in 2021.

I love this place! The store is MASSIVE and provides a wide variety of Hispanic/Latin American foods and produce! The restaurant inside is also incredible! Highly recommend

Amazing supermarket with a delicious restaurant inside. Some of the best Mexican food in all of Columbia can be found right here, and the produce is always super fresh and amazingly priced.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a "Mexican" store close to the university and I have visited it several times. They do carry a wide variety of items that I have not found anywhere else, which made my day. However, the freshness of the bakery (pan dulce) leaves a lot to be desired. All pieces have been hard and probably old. Still good when dunking in coffee, but hard to bite otherwise. I wish I could find a real panaderia nearby. I find that the foods here are not the same as the "Mexican" we get in Texas which is something I won't mind translating for myself.

They sell expired items and try to hide the expiration date with marking it. Beware!!!

Aparte de careros nos quieren vender cosas expiradas! Lo peor es que lo quieren tapar!!

Ayer fui a comprar unas gelatinas a la tienda Plaza Garibaldi (en West Columbia ) cuando llegue a mi casa me di cuenta que no iba a ocupar todos los paquetes por lo cual empecé a buscar la fecha de caducidad para ver hasta cuando podía hacer los paquetes que no iba a ocupar. No encontraba la fecha y me di cuenta que con un marcador habían marcado la fecha de caducidad. Empece a quitárselo con agua y me di cuenta que ya había caducado. Lo que más me molesta es que nos quieran vender cosas caducadas y lo quieran “tapar” como si no nos fuéramos a dar cuenta!!
Solo para que ellos no pierdan dinero de su mercancía!!
Al siguiente día fui nuevamente y pedí hablar con en manager pero no estaba y les expliqué que una cosa es que se caduquen las cosas y no se den cuenta y otra muy diferente que sepan y lo quieran tapar!!
