Fischer's Hardware

I spotted this place because I happened to be in the area. I didn't know it was there. I found everything I needed, and the employees I encountered were very nice and helpful. Unlike the big box places, the people there are knowledgeable about the products they sell. Yes, they are more expensive than Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depot; however, it's worth paying a few extra dollars to support a local business, especially one run by nice people. Not only will I be back, I have already recommended Fischer's to quite a few friends.

Place is great manager was pleasant and worked with me on stocking some items that would be useful. Super convenient may not be able to keep up with the price of big box stores but buying local makes up for that.

Decent selection. Convenient but pricey. 15 to 20% more expensive thanks lowes or home depot. Would recommend Hill Lumber instead.

Too expensive, for example, a ceiling fan electrical box is about 4.30 or less at many stores, but they charge over 8 dollars with tax. I told the cashier, and the cashier was apathetic, like talking to a wall, no response. If you have a project, it's a lot cheaper to travel to Baytown and many better price hardware stores instead of paying two times the actual price.
