Jay greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and treated me like a valued, returning customer despite being my first time to set foot into their cool, unique retail space. I was looking for a stick for my 3.5 y/o to start learning on. He ended up cutting a custom stick length for me out of a used composite stick. It's just what I was hoping for. I ended up buying two indoor floor pucks and a sweet vintage tee shirt in addition to the stick. I'll be headed back there with my son for some skates in the near future.

Awesome from the start. I texted Jay and asked a few questions. He then asked if I could jump on a call to discuss options. I received my steel in about 3 weeks I think. Was originally quoted 7-10 days but was notified that he was backed up and kept up with updates. Overall very satisfied and definitely noticed a big difference on the ice. Love my profile and the bladetechs he hooked me up with.

I purchased a new pair of Bauer skates for my son and took them to a local pro shop for profiling and sharpening. Was told at this age the factory profile and steel is fine for kids his age so ended up with just a sharpening. After 3 skates my son and I both knew something was off. Reached out to Jay and received a very quick response. One week later I had new steel with a new profile and my son looks so much more comfortable and is skating much stronger. 5 minutes on the phone with Jay and it was clear he absolutely knows his business. Do NOT think twice, call Jay he will have your player dialed in!

After taking a puck to the outer wall of my Bauer Supreme Machs, he took very good care of me. Took the time to make contacts with Bauer to replace my existing pair with brand new ones. The profile/edge he put on my new LS Pulse metal is the best feel I have ever experienced on ice. The blades are smooth and balanced with precision. Customer service was top notch. Wish I had Jay’s knowledge/experience/professional skills back during my college days.

The experience of getting my new skates was an absolute joy. Jay was extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and friendly. The plethora of hockey gear and memorabilia for sale around his store was amazing. The store itself is very inviting and cozy. I felt like an adult kid in a candy store! Jay is highly knowledgeable when it comes to fitting hockey skates properly on your future hockey all-star. Being a first time hockey parent. I went out and bought all used hockey equipment for my six year old child thinking that was enough. Jay had the patience to explain the correct way to suit up my child. Such patience from a store owner is rare today. So, if you are thinking of registering your child to learn to play hockey, go see Jay first. Jay helped me pick out the appropriate figure skates for my level and fitness and dialed the fit in amazingly well! I am an adult taking figure skating lessons and now that I’ve progressed into jumping, I needed something more stable and safe. I’m so happy with my Jackson Elle’s! I got a new pair of skates, replaced 15yr old pair, and living in Texas it’s hard to find a place to get them dialed in. Jay worked with me asking how long I’ve played, my height, and my weight to set my skates up perfectly. Wow what a difference over stock steel! Jay was able to get 4 pairs of skates sharpened for me with very little notice. He did them on the spot and even helped me out to my car with them. He was friendly and very accommodating! I would highly recommend his services!

Then you get your skates sharpened somewhere else, and you realize you never knew how good you actually had it.

I'd been going to HockeyTown for 15+ years to get my skates sharpened, and when needed, broken blades replaced, Tuks repaired, rivets replaced, and anything else needed to keep my skates tuned. Recently, I was out of town and made the mistake of having my skates done one time by a national chain; I nearly broke my ankles stepping on the ice.

With head in hand, I immediately went to HockeyTown. Embarrassed for my foolishness, and repentant for my sin, I pleaded to Jay to forgive my betrayal and to save my skates. Like magic he took my skates back into the shop, and like a miracle-worker he brought my blades back.

A great experience! Went into for the first time to get my skates sharpened for the first time and was very helpful with how to take care of them. Many great options to choose for all your ice hockey and street hockey gear. The sharpening took no time at all.

Got my skates sharpened here and noticed a cool Rangers sweatshirt but I was on the fence about getting it so I left; then I couldn’t stop thinking about it for the afternoon. I messaged the store to see if they were still open and Jay stayed late so I could get the sweatshirt!! I really appreciate it because it was so soft and warm, I wore it pretty much immediately and I love it! Awesome awesome customer service and great products.
