The selection of wines, liquor and cheese are exceptional. A very well run shop with great service. Truly a Washington institution. The staff helps you with your questions, gives great recommendations. It’s a very nice experience and you will find everything you need.

They were very busy on Saturday. Very friendly people ready to answer questions. Their weekly offers are a good bargain. Saturday was looking popular for people buying wine and cheese. I was there as I was looking for a beer that wasn't available elsewhere. Back Home Beer -Persian lager. If you need a case, you go to the cashier and pay for it and they bring it up to you.

Love that they have parking for shoppers that's closely monitored to prevent people from parking and walking off.

Calvert Woodley is a very well stocked wine store, with reasonable prices and very helpful staff. Whenever I go there, there are always a good number of people buying wine and popularity is always a good indicator of a very good store.

Great personal deli counter service, awesome wine selection, and generous number of tasting events. My only disappointment is that sesame seed bagels are invariably sold out by the time I arrive to shop in the afternoon.

Calvert Woodley’s is back! I always went there for the joy of discovering new things (Absente) and exploring (new whiskeys) AND the expert advice.

This is my favorite store in Washington DC. It has fine groceries, an excellent selection of cheeses, wines and cold cuts.
You can also find coffee beans, which you can buy by weight. I discover new products every time I visit. And the team is very welcoming and professional.
Don't hesitate to ask them for advice, they will be very helpful and informative. They deserve 6 stars.

Just getting there is quite convenient with the free parking. But, I especially enjoy the wide selection of cheeses and the knowledgeable serving staff that can advise on the nature and pairing of the different cheese.

CW has an outstanding selection of wines and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff to help you find whatever you want. The deli is also, outstanding, with a terrific staff there, as well. I have been shopping here for well over 45 years (starting when they were in their old location) and I think you will find this shop your "go to" place for wines, spirits, and deli items.

Always enjoy and look forward to shopping weekly here. I’m especially thankful for the pleasant and knowledgeable staff at the deli where I purchase 3 to 4 different cheeses each week from their advertised list of specials. All the staff is extremely polite and patient with each customer. Although the space is small they manage without delays in processing orders. Few places today offer smoked salmon or cured hams sliced to order and package so nicely. This is truly a unique resource for wine and cheese lovers. Enjoy!

They have boars head deli meats, good cheese. A wide variety of alcohol, some I have never seen before. I am not really a drinker but interesting choices. Excellent service from staff. I highly recommend visiting this place for your next event.

Best place to buy our favorite French cheeses, and excellent wine selection. Customer service is great, I wish Calvert Woodley is closer to our home, but we still make the 20 mn drive to get our wines and cheeses

Was my source for Kermit Lynch Beaujolais Nouveau for years now. I'm hoping they will start again. They do other adult beverages quite well, too.

One of the best selections of liquors, aperitif, mixers, cordials, bitters, and wines. Very nice selection of cheeses and deli meats.

I live for the pate campagne and the herbes de provence. The cheeses are to die for. I love the various sandwiches Best quality for charcurterie . Not Paris, but this will do.
