Sunil is wonderful. He was super accommodating with my delivery request as it was outside the normal zone. I sent a gift and the delivery process was smooth and all parties were very pleased. I even ordered some wines Sunil recommended to NYC, which came packed super well and very quickly especially during the holiday season! They have a great wine selection as well. Highly recommend!

I walked into Watergate Vintners & Spirits knowing they had Fortaleza in stock. Sunil greeted me and shared some insightful information about Fortaleza, Clase Azul, and other tequilas. Sunil was so kind and welcoming that it felt right to open the bottle and share it with the owner at his tasting area where we also tried other tequila and mezcal. Salud my new friend! Love this store! Friendly staff always eager to help you find that perfect present whether it be a bottle of fine wine or whiskey. Yalem always has a smile on her face and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, Manny will track it down for you, even a 23-year old bottle of Pappy. This review should be 10 stars!

Incredible service.
We were traveling from Australia and stayed at the Watergate. This liquor store was one of our highlights from 3 weeks in the US. We got a full lesson on alcohol, testers etc. I wanted a 4 pack of beers, I bought an $80 bottle of whisky in respect of his time, his knowledge and character. If I ever get to DC again, will go out of my way to visit.

I've shopped at Watergate Vintners several times, and also just had an order delivered to my apartment. The owner is super-friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection of wine and spirits is impressive. The store is classy and clean, and they apparently do wine tastings (I haven't partaken....yet). Their website is very user-friendly, and the delivery was on-time. Highly recommended!

Best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Not only called me once, but twice to help make sure I would end up as a satisfied. I live more than a couple states away, but it was shipped and delivered as fast as Amazon Prime does. All without any crazy shipping fees. Their communication was as clear and fast as their shipping. They were so thoughtful with their packaging too. Thanks to them, I can now give my coworker(who has had a pretty rough year and recently lost her father) the best secret santa gift. I 11 out of 10 recommended Watergate Vinters & Spirits. Thank you again Sinul for the outstanding customer service. A lot of people and businesses could learn a lot from you!

Great selection of wine, beer and spirits! Hard to find a wide variety of all three in single D.C store. Manager and owner are easy to deal with, take recommendations and can order any product you like and have it to you by the next business day.

My piece of advice? They give great discounts on case purchases.

Sunil is amazing . We were so lucky to stumble upon this shop staying at the nearby watergate hotel. Sunil really knows his stuff with wines and spirits . We had an amazing impromptu wine and spirit tasting and we were amazed at the selection. Honestly , we will be driving to DC from Philly just to come to this store for its tasting experience , it’s truly a hidden gem !!!!!

Great variety from local to well know brands. I blindly chose 3 wines and they were all great. Front staff was reasonable and chill.

Mani Gupta, the owner, is lovingly referred to by some as ‘the king of bourbon’. Do not hesitate to ask if he has some rare bottles stashed away. Arguably the best whiskey selection in foggy bottom / west end.

Came into the store looking for a specific bottle of wine. The staff was very friendly and helped place a special order for me. They also directly delivered the case to my house. This is my fav wine store in DC!

Mani - the man, the myth, the legend. Moving to DC from Kentucky never have I met someone more knowledgeable about my state's pride and joy - bourbon! As an added bonus for my wife, he has such a lush selection of Chardonnay that every time I tell her we're going to Mani's she screams - ChardonYaaay!

I placed and online order and unfortunately received the incorrect item. However, Sunil's customer service was fantastic, and I would definitely order from them in the future.

The best place for alcohol, even if you are in GW, Foggy Bottom area. They were "closed" when they were supposed to be open so I called the # on the door. A super friendly woman ran back to open store for me. She was wonderfully nice.

Great selection and knowledgeable employee. Better prices than we found in Georgetown, often by $10-20 on upper shelf/behind-the-counter bourons and tequila resposado.
