It’s awesome. Been shopping here for over a decade and have never had a bad bottle. Helpful staff and great tastings. Nice descriptions for every bottle.

Excellent selection backed up by knowledgeable and professional staff. Their weekly tastings are informative and no pressure to buy, tho we usually do!

I used to go and appreciate their wine, but their post COVID hours make no sense. They stopped sending announcements, so I have no idea about any of their current offerings. Hopefully this will chance

A Cleveland Park gem, this place means business when it comes to wines– especially French selections that are sure to delight. Don’t miss out on the weekly tasting (FREE!*) on Saturdays. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to share, just takes a few to warm up to them. They’re lovely though! You’ll frequently find the owner/importer walking around helping out too.

This is the best wine merchant in the city, without a doubt, and in the country, if I were to guess. If you are looking for small-producer, carefully curated, unknown-to-you, the-best-you’ve-ever-had wines from the most terroir-driven regions in the world (emphasis on Bourgogne and the full length of the Loire), this store is your oasis in an industrial style-driven desert. This store imports wines from vignerons producing quantities smaller than any of the large chains could ever contemplate, and at the highest and most personally-cared for quality of wine making. Beats the merchant I had when living in Paris. Peter, Warren, Ed and the rest of the team will find you a wine to tickle your fancy at any price point. We are so lucky to have Weygandt Wines in our neighborhood.

Great selection ( especially) of European wines. Very helpful staff - will always be able to recommend something in the price range that I request.
Very good prices - and don't forget the case discount.

Weygandt Wines is the go to spot for quality wines from old world small producers in the DC region. It is a very well curated store. If you really love a Burgundian pinot, Cru Gamay, or Cab Franc just go there now. They have built relationships with small producers that give them the ability to get small allotments of terrific vintages.
This outfit knows what it does best and does it very well. Tim and Warren and everybody else I have met there are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Worth a visit just to hear them answer the questions of other customers. If there is a tasting - do it even if you don't think you like "that type of wine" because you will surely learn something and may be surprised.
Weygandt Wines also makes an effort to showcase local spirits, beers and special treats from around the world and you can get a solid daily red or white as well for under $15, but those things are just gravy.
This is not a big box wine store or a local merchant that tries to have something on hand for everybody. If you want a big beer selection and wine in every category under the sun, go see Weygandt's neighbor's down the street. Tony and Santos They are wonderful too at what they do.

Best wine shop in dc for value, service, and selection. Mostly stock French, German, Austrian, and Italian regions. Their wine club is an amazing deal too!

No better bottle shop in DC. Perfectly curated selection of top producers from the best regions of France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Germany, along with good domestics. A good bottle to be found for any occasion.

The wines they carry are exactly what I miss about living in Europe: having access to affordable, estate grown, small batch wines that are full of character and teach you about where they're from
