With a number of CVS locations struggling in DC, this (new-ish) Florida Ave location stands out as a bright spot. The main pharmacist (50s-ish gentleman) is absolutely lovely and so helpful and fast. The manager of the store is often (always?) on-site greeting customers. The security guard at the front is friendly, smiles, says hello. Aisles are well-stocked. Lots of staff around if you have a question (Eg. Item out of stock or behind a lock). I’ve never seen a theft issue (knock on wood). Overall just so glad this location opened in AdMo and a big shoutout to the manager and staff of this location!

Amir, the new manager of the pharmacy, is so helpful. Due to his assistance, my spouse was able to find discounts and the most appropriate products. Amir is clearly very knowledgeable and kind. We are new to the neighborhood and really felt welcomed here at this pharmacy.

This is the friendliest CVS I have ever been too. Everyone who worked there was welcoming and helpful.

Update: This location is opened! They seem to have a good selection. Was a bit messy and dirty already by the self checkout area. But I think all the employees were still getting things stocked.

This location isn’t opened yet.

It's new, doesn't seem to have a lot of staff to help you, and it's out of of low stock a lot of things including chips and light bulbs. Not sure if the pharmacy part is open yet.

Problem with phone system. Can’t reach front of store. Regardless of which number I dial, I just get rerouted to pharmacy. They say they are transferring me to front store but then it just routes back to pharmacy and they get annoyed (accusing me of repeatedly dialing the wrong number) when I’m not.

I’m a dr and the pharmacy here is egregious. Not only have I had GREAT difficulty in getting my patients their prescriptions at this location, my own husband has been turned away 3 times for his prescriptions. The level of professionalism and communication is abhorrent. Why send messages for pickups to have them tell you they don’t have it and gaslight you about not being able to fill it there at this location ever? Absurd. I’d hate to think it’s discrimination, but who knows.

Extremely rude staff. As a prescriber I tried multiple times over a span of a day to get connected to the pharmacist and place an order for a patient. The pharmacist would pick up the call and then proceed to put me on hold for extended times and never pick the line back up. The voicemail box was full and I also could not leave a message. After I called a numerous times, the pharmacist rudely picked up the phone telling me she has a lot of things to do and that she could not help me. Unprofessional behavior and disrupting care of their patients.

This store, while open and clean, is comedically bad. They are routinely out of stock of things ranging from water to protein bars to soda. All while still having a plethora of Christmas gifts on offer at the store entrance.

I understand retail stores in the District face an uphill battle at the moment, but if you want people to shop at your business you do, in fact, have to have products they want. Not empty shelves.

Not to mention that despite going to this CVS regularly (until now) I rarely, if ever, see an employee. I've seen more people shoplift from this store than I have seen employees of the store.

Edit: the store also rarely opens on time. As of 822 am on weds, Feb 7, they're still not open.

Terrible pharmacy. Takes forever to fill medications and little to no communication around it. The impression and feeling given off from the staff is that they do not care about you or trying to help you. Go anywhere else.

I have tried to get prescriptions filled multiple times because of its proximity to me and bc my insurance won't let me use any pharmacy other than CVS. Every time, they run into some issue bc they just reopened a few months ago and are not approved to sell whatever medication I need. I waited a few months to let them get things together but then I needed to get a one time medication. They filled one prescription but did not notify me that they would not be able to fill the other but on top of that the website says they did fill it so I'm having trouble getting it transferred over to another CVS further away. I don't blame them for not being able to fill something but at least reach out and ask how you would like to proceed when that happens and then work with me to get both transferred over so I don't have to make two trips (while feeling terrible and likely contagious). And when I'm there and you do actually notify me that you weren't able to fill one, go through the process of switching it over instead of letting me walk out of the store only to realize I can't do it online because the website says they filled it and then go on lunch break in the three minutes it took for me to realize that (most of which was spent trying to get through to an actual person on the CVS phone line). The staff member seemed uninvested in his job and completely unhelpful/unsympathetic, the process was a bureaucratic mess. But now I have half an hour to kill before the pharmacies reopen so I'm writing this review. I really hope they get stuff together at some point but they are definitely not there yet (at least in terms of the pharmacy).
