The man has patience, most experienced, gets straight to the point and beautifully laid out and meticulously straight hobby shop that is an amazing sight to see. This place is a shrine, not many are left like this one, and it feels good to support local. Prices are very fair and beat online even for quality. Save the money for shipping, support local, and enjoy the layout of coolness around by visiting in person and buying.

Been going here for years. I like the displays of models. He often has diecast cars on consignment and items on sale. I've bought many things here.

Easily one of the most underrated shops in Boardman - the men working this place helped me pick out paints that would best fit a model I had also purchased from them. They made the process simple and fun, and gave encouraging words to keep me engaged with model-building. They have so many cool items and displays, and their dioramas are creative and inspiring. I’ll be going to them for any future model building needs.

Tom and the entire staff who serves my needs are amazing. This is a business that deserves 10 stars out of 10 for what they are able to help with, trains , model rockets , air planes. Rc cars . I love all hobby items and they are my go to shop :)

This is a great hobby shop. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. The store is well stocked, and the prices are very reasonable. All in all, this is a great place to meet your hobby needs. I would suggest it to anyone in needs of anything for modeling, model railroading, or remote control planes. I love it there!

This place is awesome!! I build plastic models and this is the best place to go for kits, supplies and paint. A word of caution though, Testors and Model Master was bought out so supply is extremely limited. However, I highly recommend the Boardman Hobby Center for what ever your hobby needs are.

Selection of R/C plane parts is superb. They'll get what you need if you don't see it. Pricing is comparable or less than the 'net, especially considering shipping. Staff is courteous and very helpful with questions.

I been buying models and supplies from this place for about 8 years. Some products are a little higher then big box stores. But they have selection and expertise that big stores don’t have. I will always come here for any of my model needs.

Great ownership group great selection very reasonable prices

This is a great local hobby store and one of the areas finest hidden treasures. Boardman Hobby Center has been around for more than fifty years and has a variety of model airplanes, trains, paints, and even rubber-band powered balsa airplanes. Boardman Hobby Center is also very well known locally for the selection of Radio Controlled (RC) planes and cars. The owner, a silver haired gentleman by the name of Tom, almost exclusively staffs the place and he prides himself in Made in the USA tools and merchandise (as much as can be had anyway). This is a great little hobby shop, and a great way to support both our local economy and this great country. Five Stars!

Excellent Hobby Shop for Radio Controlled Planes, Drones, and Cars. They also have a good deal of scenery supplies for Railroaders. If you are looking for a great hobby with your kiddo then radio controlled cars and planes would be a great hobby. It teaches them how to build items and then get the joy of running what they built and even tweaking it afterwards. The technology on these new planes also makes bringing beginners in much easier....if you have a kiddo that loves planes. The owner is very nice and very knowledgeable.

Love coming in here. He is a very nice guy, very knowledgeable, has good inventory and is always willing to get you what you're looking for if he doesn't have it. He typically has something for everyone....my visits have become a weekly thing!!

Very good selection for model kits and supplies also had decent amount of RC stuff...the older man running store was really nice ...prices comparable to average chain store and online pricing in some instances cheaper....BUY LOCAL ..TO my knowledge this is last non chain hobby shop left in this area and it's better store been there over 60 yrs ...think bout that...help ol'boy out lol buy local nice guy decent everything else

Boardman Hobby is a great store to go get anything for models. Tom is a great guy and can help you find any model kit. If he does not have it in the store he will special order it for you.

Quite a lot of RC equipment. Plastic models, model trains and accessories. Nice shop.
