Very friendly staff, they are always working hard, it is a large store, managment is always available, curtacy clerks are very inviting and available for everything and anything, the departments all have great teamwork, they attend us with everything and always point us to the right direction. As a customer and as a local I am very happy to have safeway. We can shop in the morning in the afternnon and even at night! I deffinatly cannot say no to their mochas at starbucks. The app is very helpful. There is a huge snow storm right now and safeway is still available.

The store is clean. Easy parking. Has self checkout, friendly staff. If you have Vons account, just download Safeway app and log in to save the offers to your shopping list.

This is a really nice safe way. It's especially nice because the selection is good and there aren't a lot of big stores in the South lake Tahoe area.

This is a great place to shop for quick and convenient items. It's close to the main lodging area and has everything you need for the trip. The staff at Starbucks are also very kind and helpful.

I love Safeway and how convenient it is, our South Lake Tahoe Safeway employees go above and beyond to help the community. I especially love and appreciate drive up and go, I order from there weekly and everyone in there is always friendly and super helpful. Peter, is so polite and knowledgeable, Steven always makes sure things are right and handled correctly, bow is such a sweetheart and loves to help, Kaleb ensures you are happy with you’re items, and Niko always picks the best produce, I couldn’t rave enough about this group!

I go to this Safeway a lot. It's a good location with many food and recipe ingredients. I always tend to buy something that I haven't tried yet every time I shop here. The sushi section is amazing. It's also fun to people watch here when the store is packed.

The employees are always cheerful and helpful love going to the store for any reason

I doordash, so I shop here 5 to 10 times a day. They have a Starbucks in the store, a flower department, a meat department, the deli makes great sandwiches. Produce is great, they carry exotic fruits. Self checkout is always fast. The only downfall is there is only one cashier late night and the line gets pretty long

Safeway gave me safe harbor for the night and had all the right food to keep me warm! Thank you to all the staff!!

Considering how busy the place is with tourists a the time, I'd say they do a great job staying positive and keeping the store tidy and stocked.
And the wine section marketing is 🔥🔥

Your standard Safeway, but yeah their prices were better than other Safeways we've typically shopped at. The place was clean and we were able to check out quickly with no issues. They also have a small section where you can get magnets and other touristy items.

Great place to stock up on supplies as it's open 24/7. Ran to the neighboring Safeway gas station for a hot drink at midnight!

I love Safeway and I spend so much time in there wandering around not being able to make up my mind about what I want for dinner.. everything looks soo delicious!

Great building with helpful employees. The food was all kept up to date, fresh and nice. A variety of traditional foods as well as a big organic section. Definately become a Safeway member to get the deals on most of the things in stock!

Ordered the holiday dinner. Everything you need all in a box. Makes life Soooo much easier and the food was great! Friendly fast service too! 5 stars! ☺👍

Fresh sushi fried chicken potatoes macaroni and cheese amazing deli meats, sandwiches, ready to eat meals and everything in between love the store great prices friendly staff kudos guys. I'll add pictures. There beer and wine and alcohol selection is huge. I never seen so much in a supermarket. The place is super clean and people are always disinfecting everything every time I've been in there morning noon or night. I've been here working the fires so I've been in the store at all hours these people go above and beyond to make sure the store is super clean.
