Beautiful jewelry, owned by sisters who live locally and who are welcoming and lovely. I have purchased some of my favorite pieces here.

Great store, excellent service, friendly sales gal. On several of the whiners reviews.....and with my experience in retail sales, this fine store has been in business for 25 years with many many satisfied customers. 25 YEARS ! That a testimonial in itself. I’m sure this store has a great following with more satisfied clientele than.the several that actually took the time to post a negative review. I own businesses in resort towns. Quite frankly, I personally wouldn’t want these dissatisfied ignorant purchasers in my stores as they appear to be clueless.

I've purchased jewelry here for me and my mom the past 10+ years. We've always been treated with courtesy and respect. We've appraised several pieces for insurance purposes and all were as represented hallmarked engraved. We've had no breakage, not even to mosaic inlays. They do not repair, sell gem stones separately, or do custom work. They have a wide variety of ready-made jewelry and price ranges to choose from; inexpensive souvenir-type things like shirts scarves purses jackets, gold aspen leaf necklaces, inlaid moose pendant necklaces, to fine jewelry like you buy from fine jewelers in Denver. I look for hallmarks but just ask, she is always happy to answer any questions and to educate and to help. While shopping, I've watched her help several different groups of customers at the same time and she has always been polite.

This year I bought two reversible rings--one is a rectangular blue opal that flips over to white; the other ring is a narrow band of lapis on one side with a mix of different inlays on the other side and there are 2 separate but joined rings of opal inlays jointed on the top and bottom that flip to lie flush with either the lapis or mixed inlays sides. I uploaded 2 photos so you can see as it's hard to describe. The rings lie flat & flush, they do not stick up as in one of my photos I just did it to show how easy they flip. 2 rings, 8 different looks. Prices are as marked on the item. She has 25%, 50%, & 65% discounted items (maybe 10% or other %, I don't recall), in cases at the back of the store. The original full price is marked so keep in mind that is not the discounted price. If you can't do the calculation, just ask her, she is always accurate to the penny.

Be aware many of the shops & restaurants in Grand Lake are owner/family-operated. They are hard-working industrious people with a small available-labor pool who may work 7 days a week, 10-12+ hours a day, the entire summer tourist season and lucky to close doors 30 minutes to go pick up something hot for lunch or take an occasional morning or day off. So if a door is locked, try back in 30-60 minutes, or call their posted phone #s and a leave a voice message. They work hard to welcome you and to provide a quality product that you can share with pride with your family & friends back home.

Beautiful store with some very exquisite jewelry and accessories! Expensive in general, but the items are worth it. Also the lovely lady who runs the place has very good taste. Stylish, inexpensive t- shirts!

Horrible service on overpriced items...even for GL

I never try to leave bad reviews, but I have been buying very expensive jewelry from silver horse in golden for a long time. One of the rings I had purchased in golden broke, since I was living in grand lake for the summer I walked into the store there to ask if they knew a jeweler who could fix it (was not asking for a refund or an exchange) the person working wouldn’t even look up from her Facebook on her phone and just said “not sure”. Went to an actual jeweler today who told me it couldn’t be fixed by her because of the metal that was used to make it. I do have one pendant from a necklace that is still in tact- but when the necklace chain broke a year after buying it.

While me and my 2 friends (all 15 y.o.) were in the store we were accused of shoplifting by the store owner. We had asked to view some of the rings that were on sale. Once we were done viewing them we began leaving and the owner accused us of stealing one of her rings. She began to threaten me any my friends, saying she would call the cops and the footage would show we stole (which we hadn’t, we were very careful and put the rings right back where we found them). After 5 minutes of her shouting at us, we found it had been put in the same slot as another ring. She continued yelling at us and kicked us out, telling us to never come back. She also followed us out of the store and continued yelling. When our parents heard of this they asked her if she thought we had stolen from her and she denied the whole situation happened. Judging by other reviews it’s quite possible she put it there herself. This was one of the most wild and unpleasant experiences my friends and I have had to go through. I do not recommend going to this store.

DO NOT SHOP at the Silver Moose!! HORRIBLE customer service, CHEAP/FAKE products, and OWNER IS A LIER!! I bought an item that was supposed to be sterling silver for $145.00. Upon leaving the store, inspecting the item further, and after an internet search of the designer, I found the item is stainless steel, and on amazon for 24.99. When I called to confront the owner, she became very defensive. When I told her I found the same item on Amazon for 24.99, she asked why I even came into her shop and why didn't I just buy it from Amazon. When I told her that I was on vacation in that area and wanted to purchase from a local merchant, she told me that she would give me an in-store credit if I brought it back. I told her I had left the area and wouldn't be returning, she offered an in-store credit. I told her that considering she lied to me and sold me an amazon item, I didn't want anything else from her store, just a refund. She started yelling at me before hanging up the phone. It has never been my first instinct to check for metal markings or the internet for items while in a jewelry store. Guess I've been too trusting. It's sad that a merchant would be so dishonest and steal from people.

Awful customer service. This store owner is deceitful and incredibly rude. I found a pair of earrings and she was being kind as I tried them on and decided to buy them. I put them on in the store and wore them home. About 1 hour later one broke and fell off my ear! I went back the next day and she was absolutely nasty! Accusing us of breaking them and aggressively refusing to give us a refund. We finally negotiated an exchange but she was NOT happy about it.

Not to mention the quality of her jewelry, it is way over priced and definitely FAKE. I don’t know how she is legally in business between the way she treats her customers and the fake over priced jewelry she sells. I DO NOT recommend and can promise that you will be disappointed with her and the jewelry she sells.

The only reason I am giving this a 1 star is because I can not give a negative star. The sales lady is rude and accusatory of me and my 2 friends. We asked to look at some rings for us to purchase. After glancing at them for about 5 minutes and trying them on making sure they were back in the correct place. She rudely and wrongly accused us of “stealing the ring. We all were searching, she yelled at us until we found the ring she misplaced, even after we found the ring we were still getting yelled at. We were very polite towards her trying to understand. After her telling us she will call the cops on us multiple times we were yelled at to leave her store and not come back.

Terrible customer service- my friends and I (all 15) were accused of stealing. Once we finished viewing some rings, we had just started leaving the store when she called us back claiming a ring was gone. Her whole vibe changed and she began yelling and threatening to call the cops and check security tapes as my confused friends and I checked all over the store for the missing ring. I then noticed it was in the same slot as another ring. I pointed it out to her and she continued yelling at me directly, telling me to never steal again (I didn’t??) and told us to get out of her store and not return. Once we left the store the three of us started laughing nervously because it was such an awkward, accusatory situation. She then ran outside and yelled at us again as we walked away. Don’t recommend at all, wether you like her jewelry she is a very aggressive, rude person.

I was sold a product that the salesperson/owner blatantly lied about. She alleged that the pearls were genuine and the gold on it was solid Brazilian gold throughout. I took this to get it appraised for insurance purposes and it turns out that the pearls were fake and the gold was plated on and wearing through in spots already. To be fair I thought I was getting a deal as she alleged a discount due to end of season. I called the owner to discuss this and she took my number saying she would call me back when there weren't customers in the store. She did not call me back and when I called over the next few days she would not answer my calls. Would not ever purchase anything here again and would warn anyone else to beware of what you purchase.

Never buy jewelry here. They do not guarantee their work. I bought a pair of earrings and within 6 months of randomly wearing them the stones started to fall out. When I finally made it back to the store the owner the owner was rude and did not care about the items they sold there. Claims they never have any issues with their jewelry. DON'T SUPPORT THIS PLACE! What a shame, i would have bought some more items in there if she would have just replaced mine or at least offered anything.
Wish I could give a negative star rating on just her overall attitude. Seek a new profession because you will not be open much longer with that type of service.

Bought a ring there in June and was told it was 100% sterling sliver it even had the numbers on the side saying it was. Turns out after wearing it non stop for 4 months it’s actually copper not silver. Incredibly disappointed paid way too much money for it to be copper. Can’t more advice more not to shop here they are clearly liars about their products
