Went in yesterday to get a new pair of shoes for the gym. Mary was AMAZING. She was so kind, listened to me, and got me the perfect pair of shoes (which I wore today and love). Nothing better than shopping local 😊

I went in to get my first pair of sneakers after recovering from ankle surgery. I cannot tell you how knowledgeable and caring the saleswoman was. She asked how it had happened, measured me and watched me walk to determine the perfect pair of shoes for me. I felt bad as she was surrounded by boxes as she tried different brands to get the right fit (then had to accommodate my style choice :-) !) I left the store confident with my shoes and felt very well cared for. A very rare feeling these days. I am so thankful I went in.

Recovery and therapy advice is on point. Got me some bands and an awesome foam roller. Highly recommend WR.

At the store was a young man name Will. Every nice and efficient. It was busy but I have to say they handle it with kindness, smiling and helping out. I thought it went smoothly. You know going in a shoe store but I have to say it was a wonderful experience. Thank you shoe company for having such nice employees. By the way, I bought two pairs of shoe.

This is a terrific local athletic shop. Everyone I’ve been helped by has been super knowledgeable and nice. My brother (a runner who lives in the UK) got great advice for shoes. My PT sent me there to get professionally fitted for sneakers. And as a swimmer I got great help with a suit and several pairs of goggles - which also need expertise to fit properly. We’re lucky to have this great local business.

Awesome running shop! My wife and I both bought shoes and the help and attention to detail for the both of us was second to none. No stone was left unturned in getting both of us into the right shoes. Will be returning to purchase shoes and cannot recommend them highly enough.

I went into Wakefield Running Company looking for a new pair of running shoes, and no idea what I was looking for. I know nothing about running shoes :) The lady that assisted me was knowledgeable and thorough in helping me choose the right pair. Great attention to detail with COVID precautions in the store (sanitizer, signage, arrows, and distancing). Went running this morning and my new shoes were just what I needed. Had a great experience here, the owner and his staff are very friendly and super knowledgeable. I feel like they really listened to what I needed and fit me in the best shoe. The store is stocked with whatever you need for any type of weather and run!

I was on vacation in RI and I’m from CT. I was doing A casual search online and I stumbled upon Wakefield Running and had to visit based on the reviews and wide selection. Keith is awesome and helped me with the perfect running shoe and this coming from an avid runner. So happy I stopped on my trek back home.

I drove quite a distance to visit this shop in an effort to shop small for some running sneakers. My time was well spent - the knowledge and personal attention was top notch. Not only did I find great sneaks but they were even able to order a special size clothing item to be sent directly to me. I'll be back :)

I desperately needed new sneakers for walking. My feet hurt, and my current shoes didn't feel good. By the time I left, I had a new size shoe, and my feet didn't hurt. I went for a walk right away!

Really impressed. I'd called asking whether or not they sold wetsuits and mentioned I was new to cold-water swimming, and instead of a simple yes or no the person who answered the phone patiently educated me about all the various considerations/options/configurations. Obviously very knowledgeable, friendly folks.

Keith was extremely knowledgeable about the running sneakers, and they have an awesome selection of protein and energy bars! Eclectic selection all-around a great place to shop for the person who is hard to buy for!
