Jim has always helped me with any pool issues. Hes very knowledgeable about pools and how everything works. He keeps alot in stock, but if he doesnt have it he will order it. Having a pool place 7 minutes from me is very nice. I would recommend doing business here.

This place was terrible ! Jim and the woman are so rude ! Never answer the phone or messages ! Very unprofessional! I overpaid , had to pick up my own pool from a warehouse in Knoxville. Been waiting 2 months for the “installer “ whom is definitely a bad person and when it came time for him to “maybe install “ my pool Monday he raised the installation 500 ! After 2 months ! This whole experience is a joke ! I finally found my own installer today and will finally have my pool up next Saturday! DONT DO IT !! This is not the place for you !!! Go with anyone but this place ! I will never go there or recommend these hustlers at all again!

Wish I had read reviews before taking my time to drive out. They closed early. Tried calling earlier and no one answered. Come on, business owner. It super easy to update your website and voicemail.

Is this place even open still? Never answer the phone and the door has been locked during business hours the last few times I've tried to get water tested.

Would not recommend. Family member bought a pool from Jim 3 yrs ago and he has yet to come look at the pool or help with any information. Everytime he is on the phone he gives excuses that he is down in his back or that he is unable to come due to short staff and a few times even said he was coming to only not show up or give a courtesy call to let anyone know he isn't coming. After speaking to several other's, they also seem to have same problems with him as my family member. I do not understand how someone that runs a business based on one lie to the next can still be in operation. Looks like this is a case for the BBB. PLEASE BE AWARE! Also the only reason he was given 1 star was due to I could not post without putting at least 1....should be a -5

I called Jim at Pool Supplies & More for a quote to remove and put in a pool liner. His quote was lower than another company I had gotten a quote from, and he seemed very knowledgeable, so we went with Jim. This was in August of 2018.
Once the liner was removed, a series of unforseen circumstances popped up. The original builder of our pool took some shortcuts and didn't properly backfill the pool, so we needed extensive repairs before the liner could be put in. At this point, I still would have given Jim 4- stars because he called around on some steel sheets, and we did some brainstorming on how to do what needed to be done. It's understandable why at this point, we were still up in the air.
We decided to do the repairs ourselves because it was getting very late in the year (October at this point), and even though we have an indoor pool, we weren't going to be able to keep the room warm enough to put the liner in if we didn't do it soon.
I had been very patient up to this point. It was frustrating because it would be a week to two weeks between each step and the clock was ticking. Once we reached the point where we decided we couldn't do anymore repairs, we'll just pay Jim to do what needed to be done, we couldn't get him on the phone. My husband called for weeks. Nothing.
If we were going to get our pool back in time, we were going to have to move, which meant hiring someone else to do it because we couldn't get Jim to talk to us. My husband and I came up to the shop in Vonore to pick up the pool liner we had prepaid for. This is key. *We had already paid for the liner.* Jim informed us that he would not give us our liner until we paid him for his services. We hired him to put in a liner. He didn't. He took out the old liner, measured the pool, and made some phone calls. But he didn't put in a liner, and we had no contract. Another important note. *Get a contract.* I was angry, he was angry, and when I asked what we were paying him for, he yelled at me.
We paid the money, or ransom, and got our liner that he was holding hostage.
I understand that we had unusual circumstances. I was even sympathetic when Jim's only employee quit, leaving him alone to run the store and the tanning salon, and somehow work on pools too. I even offered to work for him in the store so he could get his pool stuff done. Even given all that, I still felt like we got screwed.
It is now April of 2019 and we just got our liner put in (by Paul Bros in Sweetwater). We missed the window after all. And something we weren't told was, the one who measured your pool for the liner, has to be the one to install it or the warranty on the work is void. And, pool installers will charge a lot more to put in a liner that someone else measured and ordered. We ended up paying almost twice what we should have.
Credit where credit is due: the liner fit beautifully. Jim measured correctly.
Things to consider: Jim is a one man band. He's it. As of November of 2018, he had no employees, so if there was a liner to install, he had to do it in the evening because he has to keep his shops open.
