I have had three surgeries for my hand alone, and I am also facing other serious health issues, and I go to the RiteAid in Londonderry Nh on Mammoth Road, my prescriptions are needed every two weeks, and every 90 days, and they are not cheap at all, I’ve had to be on them since January, so that money adds up quickly, so I went today to pick up my most expensive prescription, and finally I have insurance to lower the cost, so I thought, well according to my insurance company which we pay for mind you, they will only cover a one week supply, so I would lose half of my prescription if I don’t pay full price, so I had no choice, but to pay full price, and Erica is my pharmacist, and she has seen this happen to many of her customers, and she doesn’t agree with these insurance companies, so she took it upon herself to give me a coupon, and bring down the price to $18.00, now she didn’t have to do that at all! It is her heart that I see in play here, not to mention that she has the absolute best bed side manner that I haven’t seen in so long! So I personally would like to say thank you very much for what you’ve done to help, me, and my family! The prices of everything today are astronomical, and to save that much on one thing, helps us more than you know! As for everyone else that works with her, you also have great attitudes, and other pharmacies could learn a thing or two from you all! Sincerely Lisa Bannister

My Rite Aid is located in Londonderry New Hampshire. I was in desperate need of the finishing touch razor for $9.99 and there were none left. The manager (Tanya) asked me if she could help me out and I told her what I was looking for and she said, “ I just got a shipment in so let me go look in the back.“ Ten minutes later she comes walking out with what I was looking for! I was so grateful that she went above and beyond for me as a high anxiety, desperate customer, as my son was getting married in two days and I had already looked in 2 stores before I went to Rite Aid. For any woman who uses this product you can imagine how relieved I was that she found this for me! This is a five star Rite Aid in my own hometown!

In addition to being a convenient stop for light shopping, the Londonderry Rite Aid has Sandy. Sandy is a friendly cashier who dresses in themes and will always leave you with a smile. It's nice to go to a chain store and get some local flavor!

If you have questions about your Health Insurance and what the Affordable Care Act means for you then you need to go down to Rite Aid and talk to Ginny Mitchell! She is Rite Aids insurance agent that is helping people navigate the plans available and submit applications. All it takes is 2 min to get a quote and see what's available!

Just what I needed

Have always had a positive experience here. Received COVID tests easily and readily last year as needed. I called this store this week as I was leaving the vet in the same parking lot and needed to snag some benedryl for my puppy. I called to see if they had any way to do curb pick up or the drive thru, and the woman who answered the phone was happy to grab it for me and bring to drive thru pharmacy. It felt like a really big gesture while stressed, and my pup enjoyed the dog treat. Thanks for your help and friendliness!

Edit: I am sad to say that it seems that the customer service and experience you receive is highly dependent on who is working. I had signed up for a covid PCR test online through Quest (which since this switch has happened, there have been issues). When I arrived at the drive thru, there a sign stating it was broken and to come inside. I donned my KN95 and headed to the pharmacy to be told "we don't test here", except I've tested here probably 10 times in the last year, so I just stared blankly in confusion. She left to speak with the pharmacist and told me, "go to the drive thru". Microphone was super quiet, but everything else seemed to be working just fine. I was told they couldn't find my confirmation number and asked if I was at the right location, which I was. I believe this has happened previously on another test visit since Quest took over where they couldn't find my confirmation or appointment, but somehow that time, they problem solved and got me tested after some waiting time. On this visit, I was offered no problem solving on their end to help get me tested. It seemed like both of these women just truly did not care, had a heck of a day, and could not wait until they were done with their workday. (If this is true, that makes me sad for them and I hope the manager can get the support they need to not be burnt out) I asked to just purchase a rapid test and I had to pay $10 for a test I didn't want due to issues on their end. On the Rite Aid website, it states you can request rapids and it can be covered through insurance. It might have taken some effort on their end, but it seems it was an option which would have been nice to have been offered after I inquired about avenues for reimbursement?! I am blown away by the absolute lack of attempt to help. Rapids don't always work and the kit I purchased apparently also had only 1 test, instead of 2, which I had typically seen prior to this. I asked for a test while in the car and had no idea it was only 1 test per box. I received no guidance like, "maybe grab 2 because it's best practice to take 2 rapids within 24-48 hours". I would have frustratingly paid $20 to get 2 kits had I known.

I was thinking I would switch to this location for a pharmacy since it's usually been good enough or great, but today's absolute lack of attempt to be helpful has made me decide to stick with my current pharmacy.
