Lovely lovely co-op! Small but mighty with everything you need.

Very friendly folks, large bulk section, plenty of fresh, local and organic produce & bread. Huge variety of sustainably sourced specialty products. And a lot of vegan ready-to-eat food (from sandwiches to cheesecake!) And in terms of price, very reasonable to me... especially the bulk aisles. You pay for the quality of products:)

Co-ops like this should exist everywhere♥

And glad to say they still require masks as of June 2022! :)

Absolutely enamored by TPSS and its bulk goods section which includes coffee, grains, beans, spices, teas, nuts, pastas and snacks. They also stock a lot of delicious pre-made meals and have the most extensive vegan section of ingredients that I've ever seen, both shelf stable and fresh. On top of all this they have an incredible selection of local beers and wines, making this an absolutely solid one stop shop for groceries and home goods.

The co-op is one of my favorite places to shop for local fruits and veggies. Their products are organics. From makeup to wine and beer.
Parking is easy. Staffs are friendly and helpful isn’t a big store but it’s very well stocked.
They have wild catch salmon, grass-fed ground beef sausages hotdogs and bacon if you are a meat lover. If not it’s tons of fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits, tofu, and vegetarian options.
Local kombucha, soaps, and bath bombs.
Samosas, supergirl soup, coffee and local pastries offered daily.
I have found seasonal items affordable. It’s my alternative from other trendy organic stores.

I have been shopping here proudly for years. It truly is a hidden gem. This place has the best selection of all your health food wants and needs. From organic produce to organic wines, I highly recommend this store and whole foods has nothing on this place. Everything you could want and need from dried fruit to tofu and fresh foods ready made items are here. Their staff are all extremely hardworking kind and knowledgeable about the products(health products etc). They have a really nice variety of local foods, beers, wines, lotions and vitamins. I highly recommend this store for everyone.

With a full selection of most basic staples, beer, wine, fresh veggies, cheese, meats, and vegan friendly fare, the TKPK co-op is our first choice (WF alternative) for groceries. They also have an outstanding selection of bulk goods including peanut butter, and some other very fun/unexpected items. Highly encourage everyone to join and shop here!

I've been shopping at TPSS for over 20 years. I appreciate that simplicity and feel of a local market. There's a variety of fruits and veggies and natural medicine.

I’ve been a member here since I was a teenager. I moved away from the area and joined co-ops in other cities because of my very positive experiences here. When I moved back to this area I immediately resumed shopping here at the co-op. One of the best things about this community is the extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you want to shop local, support local farms and organic produce this is a great place to go!

Very good quality organic selections, plus many local items. I do about 80% of my shopping here. I wish they had more room for fresh seafood and a carry-out bar. An important community resource. Member owned, but anyone can shop. Members get discounts, but I do wish we would switch to a patronage refund system. Been shopping here for forty years!

They never disappoint! Such a cute, quirky little grocery store. They have so many things that others don't, which is surprising since they are so small.

Great co-op. Membership price pays off quickly. They have done a fabulous job during this pandemic. You order on line, they notify you when your order is ready and you pick up in their parking lot. Great selection of products and friendly employees.

Very nice store. Tremendous produce and many specialty items, such as really great milk from the Harrisburg dairy and a wide range of gluten free options. Also a rich selection of different Montgomery County and DC ales. Very friendly staff.

Fun staple of Takoma Park. You can find alterative staples for cooking and breadbaking, real buttermilk, etc. As well as local fruits and vegetables.

This market has been a premiere location for such a long time. The selections are top notch while the staff are knowledgeable and willing to help. The best prices are to members but I enjoy coming here without membership.

Best place inside the beltway to buy fresh vegetables and fruits. It is like your farmers market available every day.

Locally run
It’s expensive cause they buy ethical foods.
Or at least the closest thing to it under a capitalist organization of the economy.
Everyone is nice! But there’s high possibility of running into someone bcs of the small aisles. (Not all of the aisles are small, most of them aren’t)

This is a local institution. Local products, a French sommelier who is super friendly and knowledgeable, crazy good produce, nice people. Protect the parking lot from greedy developers at all costs.

Excellent selection of organic and locally sourced foods. Good beer and wine options as well. You may end up paying a few dollars more than the normal grocery store but if quality is your main concern it's worth it.
