40 Something Cowgirls

Love, love, LOVE the 40Something Cowgirl store! It’s the cutest boutique for western-style clothing and accessories you’ll find anywhere. Whether you are looking for fun t-shirts or something dressier likes dresses, embroidered jeans, or awesome hats, you can find something to fit your taste and mood. Most of my western jewelry has come from the store, and their beautiful things come in all price points. My cowhide handbag purchased here is one of my staples.

Bonus? The gals who run the store are delightful and professional. Visit the store in person or online, you will be glad you did!

Truly a great group of supportive women. When I was looking for ladies to trail ride with, I found the Cowgirls. We have had so many great riding adventures. We have ridden miles of North Texas, Grasslands, Trophy Club, Trinity River trail, Mineral Wells, Big Mineral, and Rocky Creek. My horse has gained so much experience with their support. I’m older now and appreciate the fact that I now have women my age who still want to ride and always stay safe in the saddle!

I have been a member of my local 40SC group for a year now and am so glad to have found such an amazing group of strong, smart, kind, supportive, and generous horsewomen. Our leadership is fantastic and our group does everything from multiple trail rides each month, charity events, and fun social outings. There is truly a way for everyone to be involved no matter their skill level or interests. I’m also lucky enough to board with many of these fine ladies, and it is so comforting to know that we all will pitch in to help each other whenever needed. The store is also fabulous and I have purchased many cute cowgirl items from them. I love my tribe!

Wonderful women and a great selection of merchandise. I have purchased numerous clothing items and several pieces of jewelry from the store, not to mention household items like decorations and the soft Aztec style blankets. Great selection of hats, clothing, and lots of beautiful (and affordable!!) turquoise jewelry.

I've ridden my entire life, but had been without a horse for several years. This group, Benbrook TX Chapter, welcomed me with open arms and even offered me a mount to trail ride with them until I got my horse. Clarence was the best! I don't attend all functions, but join in when I can. These ladies are very supportive and we can talk/ text about anything, not just horses, and do so on a daily basis. We also do allot of activities supporting the military, charities and the community without our horses. Since I've been with them we've made donations to local charities and volunteered at the food bank. If you're a shopper- these ladies have your back for that activity from clothes to jewelry, tack to horses and everything in between.

Are there different personalities and interests- absolutely. Are they all my interests-no. That doesn't mean we don't accept and appreciate each other. That's the beauty of this group. Love my tribe.

I joined this group 5.5 years ago. Around a sad time in my life. My father was ill with cancer. These ladies in my chapter rallied behind me as I navigated losing him and being a part of his hospice team. When he passed, they gave me time to grieve and always checked on me. They welcomed my sweet little petite mare who on good days is slow as molasses...but even so they stayed right beside me on trail rides and taught me a lot about horsemanship. They were there again for me when my horse was severely injured and stood by my side with the process of healing and rehab. These women, unlike most don't judge you...either for lack of knowledge in riding or hardships that you face in life outside of being a horse owner. We watch out for each other and we enjoy being with one another. I am very fortunate to know and ride with these women. I am fortunate to know Kristi. Rhonda, Kim, and Jodie. I have met so many wonderful humans in this group. Don't let false advertisements be your guide. Much love!

Best shopping experience in Texas! This store regularly gets a large percentage of my money both in person and on line. Great sales as well as terrific customer service.
To address the individual who is posting false/inflammatory/negative information that has NOTHING to do with this store, find another outlet for your jealousy against groups of women who enjoy each other through a common love of horses. In all my years as a 40SC, I've never experienced the things you describe and I'm eternally grateful to Kristi for forming an organization that celebrates the things I love in life. Grow up and work on finding the good that's out there. Your vitriol is eating you up, while we are having the times of our lives! ❤

They are an awesome welcoming group of ladies and the store is exactly the place to go for gifts. Hats, purses, scarves, charms, T-shirts, even colored hair extentions for your horse.

Certainly worth a trip to Breckenridge!

My daughter and I bumped into the gals of the Benbrook chapter nearly 3 years ago and our lives have never been the same! They are ALL wonderful, supportive horsewomen, in fact I call them my church. If you are in need, they surround you with love and support. We stay super active doing tons of fun, adventurous stuff. The store in Breckinridge is AMAZING! The negative reviews are clearly from someone wanting to grind an axe and are 100% false. Deepest gratitude to Kristi W for having the courage to take on this endeavor. We ❤Our founder! #mytribe

Being new to the cowgirl way of life I had to embrace the Texas fashion and overall life’s attitude. Being a “Yankee” transplant I found the ladies at the retail shop to be a breath of fresh air from the “northern attitude”. They were so helpful in finding something I would be comfortable wearing as I adapted a new culture.
I would recommend this store to anyone looking for western fashion, friendly and gracious group of ladies.

OK I very much know who left the review before with MY NAME and it was completely false! IT WAS NOT ME!!! I know who used my name and it was not me! This infuriates me that they had the audacity to use my name to write a completely false review! There are several reviews on this account that are completely 100% false! I am a part of this great group of women and we all know each other and talk on a regular basis. This is a wonderful group of women! I have never been a part of a better group of women in my entire life they are kind genuine supportive sincere amazing graceful… The list to go on and on. If you want to know the truth about this group there are many people you can Contact. All these negative reviews about how hateful we are do not believe. I love my tribe! I have enjoyed being a member of this chapter from the day it started. We support and encourage each other always. I have never been a member of a group that is such a sisterhood.

I love to shop in the store! The ladies are always helpful. You can play dress up all day with them! It is always a great experience with laughter and spending more money than I intended!

My experience at the 40 SometingCowgirl store was wonderful. Friendly people great merchandise and it is the headquarters for the organization by the same name. An org. of mature horse women and a

This is literally my favorite western boutique. And I love the positive attitude & facilitation of our social clubs on a national scale. They do a fantastic job!
