Good grocery store with great deals especially if you have the Jewel Osco App. Checkout lines are usually short and store is clean and well kept.

The best Jewel ever! I use drive up and go, and Fred is unbelievable… Personalizes the experience, and always goes above and beyond for my family and I! Love this jewel!

I previously had a bad experience with Jewel in RM however I have been shopping a lot recently and Jewel has been the best. The online Pick up and Delivery is great. Fred is Awesome and always efficient.

Janet from the floral department was EXCEPTIONAL!!! She did a phenomenal job on my parent’s anniversary flowers. Not only is her work exquisite, but she is bubbly, considerate, and so helpful!!! Thanks Janet! :)

Love Jewel just4you coupons. I have saved a great deal using them. The produce is awesome and I love the deli !! Since I deal with the employees in the deli most, I have to say how wonderful they are !!! As are the cashiers!

I simply love this Jewel- Osco location, Great experience. I walked to the checkout line and told the checker I wasn't able to find a product I wanted to try. He listened to my description, then excused himself and went to find it. He returned about a minute later with two versions of the product which I was happy to purchase. Very impressed. the selection they provide, they always have everything that I need and more. The staff & workers here are also very friendly and know how to help you to the best extent. Great store overall, definitely my go-to place for almost everything!

I love letting someone else shop for me so that I can pull up, pick up and I'm done! No problem reserving a time to pick up even on the same day. I put in my order while eating breakfast and pick up after work. What a time saver. The bonus is that I am 'clipping' more coupons and shopping smarter because it's easy to see on the app.😃

This Jewel is clean and we'll organized. The staff clearly take COVID-19 precautions seriously, ensuring that the right measures are in place for the safety of staff and customers.

10/2021 Still like our Jewel. Produce is good, and the prices are typically better than some of the competition. Staff is friendly. Still our go to place for groceries.

11/2020 This is our local Jewel. Find what we need each week. We do shop for some items elsewhere. But this is usually the most convenient place and the prices are pretty good. Produce is good and fresh. We are finding some products for the us that are dairy free. Have one person in the house requiring that. And that is very helpful.

Selection of foods are good. We typically find all that we require.

Staff is pretty helpful and plentiful. Some other places don't have as many staff and therefore harder to find help when needed. We find this store very helpful to us and love having it in our neighborhood.

I love my Jewel. Have never had a problem and if I did they were willing to replace what ever was wrong or give a refund.

This is a local Jewel food store that I frequent often. I also know many folks from the neighboring town who also come here. The staff is friendly and usually know where all the products are when I ask. Most of the time they take the time to walk you to the item you are looking for. I really like that they hire a lot of the local high school students. It’s nice to see them working in their own community and getting paid to do so.

Always friendly and busy. Wish they still had self checkout. I shop here 3-4 x week.
Update 6/21/19 - I discovered their quick microwave pieces of salmon and they are perfect for lunch or quick dinner. 5-6 min and done! They taste great too. wish there was rice with it. This is a healthy, fast food item even the kids can make. Thank you for making these. I love them.

Edit 2: I started using the pharmacy here instead of Walgreens and the pharmacist has been really helpful on the occasions that I need to consult about something. My questions aren't too serious but I appreciate them taking the time to explain why I should take an advil over Tylenol and other little questions that a laymen may not know or fully understand.

Edit: Thank you for addressing my issues quickly. Really appreciate that and the friendliness of the rest of the staff and pharmacy. The butchers are always helpful in getting the right cut for for the occasion and the pharmacist was super helpful in dealing with a stupid insurance issue when I first started going to them for my prescriptions.

I will set this review back to 5 stars when the staff starts putting available baskets on the east side entrance. I have walked to this Jewel for my groceries during the summer months for years as a way to exercise but now with the self checkout all the baskets end up at the entrance next to the self checkout and it's annoying as hell to have to go around all the checkouts to get my basket for my dinner that evening. The day I can get a basket at the other entrance I'll change this.

I always shop at the Rolling Meadows Jewel. store because I like the availability of products. Yesterday I shopped there and did a substantial buy. They had everything I wanted and the store was impeccable - it was clean and well organized and the staff was wonderful, keeping Social Distancing, announcing reminders to shoppers regarding the directional lanes etc. Thanks to the Manger and employees of this store. You are wonderful and do a difficult job during these hard times.

As always a pleasure to shop at jewel osco. Like the fact that it is open till midnight. Recently they have added quite a bit Vegan options which makes it one of very few vegan friendly grocery store chains.

Other facilities that I enjoy are the bank and Starbucks.

From having to override coupons to scanning a million per customer they handle the pressure all too well.

Sunday, 11-6-16, 2:00 in the afternoon: My misadventure at Jewel (Rolling Meadows on Kirchoff) begins...journey with me.

Very few cars in the lot...awesome.

Enter at produce...no carts.

Trek to the other entrance...no carts.

Return to the parking lot (should have left then) find a cart and re-enter the Jewel. (Second time this has happened past two weeks)

Need 2 limes and the only limes available were bulk by the bag. Had to buy 8 limes (what to do with the other six)?

Need Russet potatoes. By the bag...only option available. (No price posted)

You will discover that "No Price Posted" is a common occurrence throughout the store.

Head over to deli...three people ahead of me, two already being served. Take a number.

15 minutes elapse, during which time the deli staff peaks to six then to five employees. (Dawn of the Dead)

I walk away...the only employee actually paying attention to customers apologizes. Says he's sorry...no, I'm sorry for you...you're doing the job of six.

Head over to the butcher...2 people in line, 1 butcher on duty. The store is virtually empty.

Two more people show up, one of whom asks me, "are you the next in line?" I reply, "I'm not sure." She announces "Then I'm going next!" [laughter] The butcher immediately takes her order despite the fact that there are at least two customers are ahead of her. I walk away.

Checkout.

"Did you find everything alright?" "No," I reply. My response is ignored.

"I need a twenty-one," she calls to the next cashier. The next cashier is not happy about being called away from her line, and lets it be known.

Again, the store is nearly empty.

Well, that's the short version.

This is not an aberration. This is a common experience at the Jewel on Kirchoff Rd. in Rolling Meadows.

Major foul-ups in descending order.

A zombie staff.

Prices not labelled.

Staff exhibits zero personality or ambition to simply do a good job.

A fish rots from the head down...this is a management issue.

25% of the time, I bag my own. (Under-staffing and/or poor utilization of existing staff.

Do your self a big favor. (even if you have to drive an extra 5-10 miles)

Shop somewhere else!
