It never fails that when I’m in a pinch Scottsville Bee Supply has what I need! Kimberly always takes her time to help you get exactly what you need and steers you in the right direction. She is very knowledgeable about bees and helps me keep my bees Happy. They also have all kinds of home decor, books, different kinds of honey and so much more, so there is something for my wife to shop for while I’m shopping for my bees.This is the best bee supply store in Central Virginia! Scottesville has a lot of great shops to spend the day in so even if you live an hour away it’s worth the drive. Thanks again for all you do, Clay

I recently started beekeeping and purchased 2 NUC's from Scottsville Supply Company, what a great experience!!!. Heather is very professional/knowledgable, with great customer service. I Just installed the NUC's today, wow the frames and bee's look GREAT. Highly recommend them.

I live in Culpeper and still travel to Scottsville to patronize Scottsville Supply Company. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and the prices are very competitive.

I made a mistake ordering on the website and paid for pickup. When I arrived they informed me that buying in bulk was cheaper and they adjusted the order and gave me a $100 refund that I promptly used to buy more equipment. It's hard to find ethical and honest businesses these days. They didn't have to do that but they did.

Very cool little store right in scottsville. All the beekeeping supplies that you need and lots of little bee types of crafts. Helpful staff!

Welcoming store environment, with a wide variety of items. Both beekeepers and fans of local small business will love this store. The owner is very knowledgeable, and takes care to make sure customers have the information they need to successfully raise bees (even a newbie like me). I ordered a bee jacket from the store recently, and the owner called me promptly when it came in. If you are not a beekeeper, half the store is devoted to gift and craft items, many of which are bee or honey related - these gifts are largely from local crafters. Check them out, there are some great gift items on the shelves.

I love this store. The owner is knowledgeable and helpful. She goes out of her way to share her bee wisdom with her customers. She always has what I need whether woodware or charming locally made gifts. Her classes are excellent and thorough.

This is a great little company! Very kind and accommodating during the state of emergency. They remained open but respected safety protocols and ensured no contact hand off of supplies ordered via their online store. I wish I had found them before I ordered my bees and hive from another company; I would have ordered it from them! I'll be using Scottsville Supply for my future beekeeping needs!

This establishment does seem to need some help but they work hard to ensure they are providing products to help other beekeepers be successful. They give advice on the fly and also offers classes for new and experienced beekeepers.

We had a great experience at Scottsville Supply. Heather was very helpful in advising us about how to install our nuc, when to feed, bee clubs in our area, etc. The girls are healthy and settling in nicely. Will definitely return to this store.

Wonderful experience and loved the beginning beekeeper class. For anyone who saw my previous very poor review stating my friends were yelled at and quality was awful; I accidentally posted that review under scottsville supply co and it was fully meant for Shenandoah bee supply. This store has gone through some changes in the last year; new owner, new location (due to a bad storm). They’re still a great place to get all your beekeeping supplies, as well as cute gifts and bee/honey themed tchotchkes. They also carry a great selection of local honeys!

This place is great. Kimberly was fantastic. I know absolutely nothing about bee keeping but really interested in doing it. Stopped by on a whim today. Kimberly didn’t try to sell me at all. She answered all of my questions and even talked me out of buying a Nuc because she could tell I wasn’t sure whether to go the Nuc or Package route. Signed up for a beginners class with her and will decide after. Great people here and when I return they will get my business with bees and equipment.

It's great to be able to get all your be keeping supplies locally along with expertise for our particular climate. The prices are comparable to online resources, and you get to support some nice people right here in central Virginia. The drive to Scottsville is nice too. Check out the brewery, the farmers market and farmstead ferments while you are in the neighborhood.

This is the go-to local place not just for supplies, but for expertise and knowledge. I appreciate that they never try to oversell you things that you don't need. They are helpful, and well-stocked, and their classes continue to provide good insight and valuable information. This place is a gem for the local beekeeping community.

Scottsville Supply Company is a great bee supply & resource! They are passionate in helping all beekeepers be successful in raising their bees. Their supplies are some of the highest quality & the bees they sell are amazing. They sell bees out quickly so place your orders ASAP. They are very friendly & easy to talk to. I highly recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our visit. We drove over an hour to visit and buy supplies. They were very knowledgeable. Heather was very patient with our questions and made sure we got everything that we needed. We plan on going back as well as ordering online. I highly recommend them.

Kimberly is very knowledgeable and happy to share her knowledge. Carries a big inventory of beekeeping supplies and bee related gifts. It’s a must stop by and see place if you are near. If you are not close, then it’s worth the trip to get here.

My husband and I recently decided to get into beekeeping and signed up for Heather's class. It was extremely informative and well worth the cost of tuition. It provided all information you would need to begin beekeeping and Heather is very knowledgeable in beekeeping. But truly, where this place of business shines is in their customer service. We ended up ordering the whole setup to get started and had a couple minor issues that you might expect when beekeeping. Heather and Kimberly went above and beyond the call of duty to get us back in business. If you are considering beekeeping, I highly highly recommend going through Scottsville Supply Company to get started. I didn't price compare anything, but I am confident in saying that even if their costs are slightly higher than ordering from an online company (which they may not even be), the support you get from them is invaluable! P.S. They gave us a military discount!
