The Train Barn

My 2.5 and 5 years old boys are both train lovers, so we stopped by here after a hike as a side activity. It was a great experience and it's free. They loved to watch the train runs, play with the controller, and I think their favorite part was to look in his workshop where the model trains are. You can also buy model trains there.

My boy is very talkative and had many questions. Danny was very good with kids, he was SUPER patient and explained everything to him. It was very informative and fun. He made their day.

And yeah, if you plan to come, make sure to call first. It is located in the barn beside his house.

Such a fun experience nestled in the mountains! Our 3 year old son enjoyed watching the Polar Express go around the tracks! Roberta and Danny put a lot of effort into the presentation and experience for our son!

You can also purchase antique trains 🚂 in their train barn! It’s also free so if you’re looking for a cost effective, fun, rainy or sunny day activity — this is a great one!

It is not a business location, but a house! However the barn is located to the left of the house. We recommend calling ahead as they’re open by appointment!

Danny's shop was a wonderful find. He was very accommodating and entertained our 3 1/2 year old grandson with all his running trains.....many surprises during the tour! It was fun for all ages. If your a train collector he has a lot of gems! 🚂

Went there today met Danny, he was so easy to talk with and he was very patient as we talked and asked him questions.

Prices were "Great", he is very fair. They have many things to choose from. Looks like I found a Great Place to buy my trains at, close to me!

This was not my first transaction. Met the owner for a sale about 6 months or so ago. Good deal. Then when traveling thru the countryside my wife spotted a sign “Train Barn”. I said, “I know who that is”. Stopped in and after about 30 minutes of good conversation, walked out with a few additions to my collection. He is a great guy and I would suggest if you are a train buff and in the area, stop by and chat. He would love the conversation, and maybe even more if you made a purchase. 😀

I went with my Mom, Step Dad, And my little brothers and his friend. We had the experience of a life time. He had a ton of trains in great condition and is a very friendly guy. I am definitely going back a thousand more times.

Nice train layout in a barn on private property. The owners are awesome people. They have some sets and cars for sale but this is a family place, not a commercial store. Definitely with a visit!

My son loves anything to do with trains. He had an absolute amazing time watching and interacting with Danny and his polar express. He answered all of my sons questions and then some.

Best place ever to buy trains for the hobbyist or the amateur of both alike Danny who owns the place is a wonderful individual can't say enough about him thank you.
