I’m so glad we found this gem on our Saturday trip to Cranbury! The food was fantastic (I had a veggie & hummus sandwich, my friend had a cubano, and we split a scone). The cafe has a wonderful selection of home baked breads and pastries. The seating upstairs is elegant but comfortable. The owner of the shop was so kind and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone!! I hope to be back soon.

We were visiting the Cranbury Craft Show and stopped in for a bite to eat after.

The market is a Greek based vibe. Everything was delicious!! The woman behind the counter let us try some things in the bakery section and we wound up purchasing some of them as well. Everything was so fresh and so tasty.

The workers were very kind and welcoming. For lunch we got a sandwich that came with fries and feta. The prosciutto on the sandwich was so tender and sliced thin.

We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again!

If you go for coffee definitely try the frappè!!

Top quality Greek food and supplies. A must try.

Having visited many time following their opening in early September 2021, I wanted to say a little more about The Market. Overall my experience with their baked good has been very satisfying. The breads are always fresh and interesting and their croissants very good.

I'm particularly fond of their baklava . For my taste it is perfect; not too wet, not too dry, and balanced so that all of the flavors, phyllo, nuts, honey, and butter speak together in your mouth like a Greek chorus.

It is worth drawing your attention to their "Greek coffee" which takes a little time to prepare but is worth the wait. (The owner says "The Greek people are patient people.") It can be had without sugar, sweetened, or as the owner puts it "Too sweet" as many people, myself included, take it. The coffee is scalding hot when received but as it cools it gives off earthy/loamy scents unlike any other coffee I've enjoyed. These flavors are enhanced as you sip it down to the sediment layer on the bottom. I find it both delightful and stimulating.

I could go on like this over their prepared food and their cheeses, all have been excellent. But I will leave it to other patrons to share their thoughts save that I will say The Market is the only place in Central New Jersey I've found that carries Mastic products including an excellent Mastic soda.

What a wonderful experience! I wish I got her name but the woman, I assume is the owner, who helped us was so kind! She gave our daughter a cookie and made sure to list the ingredients as she handed it to us in case of allergies. Super clean place, very organized. Make sure you try the frappe! Cannot wait to devour these treats!

Stopped in Cranbury on through trip. Charming market/cafe. Great selection of breakfast and lunch. Ordered a prosciutto sandwich and the Veggie Reggie. Both came with fries sprinkled with feta. The sandwiches were amazing and we ate every bite. Picked up some Greek cookies and soup to go on our way out. Will definitely stop through again. 😋

What a magnificent place. We’ve now had lunch on the porch (sorry the photo shows a 1/2 eaten lunch), some bread and fresh pastries, and some packaged goods which we cooked at home. Everything was fantastic!!

A delectable experience that I am eager to repeat! Our meal was so delicious and the service is exactly what you would expect of Greek hospitality. I waited several weeks for the opportunity to try this restaurant with my daughter and it was absolutely worth waiting for!

After visiting Greece several years ago, I have struggled to find a restaurant that could compare to the delicious meals we enjoyed in Athens and Santorini. Found it!! The Market on Main was, hands down, the best Greek food I've had outside of Greece. The Moussaka was incredible, and I will most certainly be back for more.

The restaurant itself is charming, clean, and bright with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is top notch - timely, willing to offer detailed explanations of menu items, and lovely to talk with . Pricing is reasonable. (The Moussaka was $17 and my friend's "Plump Chef" sandwich with fries was $15.)

Credit card is accepted, but you cannot tip on the card, so be sure to bring some cash as well.

I ordered for a dinner for 10 as take out but I didn’t want the gyros pre-made, my request was quickly accommodated and they prepared “deconstructed gyros” for me to serve my little party of 10 with separate platters of meat, vegetables and sauces and ton of delicious Greek fries! Every one had gyros buffet style at my place and everything was delicious and well prepared. Thank you so much!

We’ve had both lunch and dinner at Market on Main this summer and every time we go we’re amazed at how wonderful the food is, the relaxed setting, and welcoming service. Despite the generic sounding name, this casual, charming, and spotless place specializes in Mediterranean/Greek fare.
We usually order a chicken gyro with fries or Greek salad with chicken. We also enjoy their baklava. Nothing fancy, but oh so fresh and delicious.
We prefer to sit on their front porch to get the full Cranbury experience since the restaurant is right on Main Street. Although last night we headed inside after a bit because the mosquitoes were active (it’s been a bad year for them despite the drought!) The owner was so nice and got me a bag of ice to cool down my bites. The delicious meal was even more comforting during my moments of distress over the bites.
The restaurant also sells some specialty foods to prepare at home. I bought the spanakopita for company coming in a few weeks.

A hidden gem serving some of the best casual food in the area! Lots of familiar Greek dishes such as souvlaki, gyro and Youvarlakia Avgolemono, a traditional Greek soup consisting of meatballs and rice in a lemony egg sauce. Yum!! Different variations of baklava too! The owner is clearly a veteran of the industry with good selection of Greek/Mediterranean ready to eat and fresh frozen foods. Friendly workers and a nice airy and beautiful place to sit inside. Support local, try this place for quick meals and coffee and pastries.

A wonderful new gem in Cranbury. The owners are incredibly friendly. The upstairs eating area is great. Had breakfast there. Regular coffee (will try the Greek coffee next time) was perfect and served with a tasty cookie. Their Egg Sandwich (you need this) is amazing! Seasoned scrambled egg on sourdough rye bread with feta, spinach, and carmelized onions. It's my new favorite! Can't wait to go back.
