This was the first time I have ever been. I was asking about a support beam for a load barring wall. I asked the staff alot of questions and I feel very confident with there answers. Their prices are competitive and they have an assortment of products in their inventory. I will be back again. Thanks for the great service.

I bought a bunch of pressure treated 1x6's (these were actually 5/4 x 6's) and they were the straightest, knot-free I've ever seen. And their crew selected them and loaded them. I never found anything remotely equal at any of the big box stores, even when I selected my own.

This place is great. A local hardware store with a little bit of everything, as well as a helpful staff willing to go over project details with you to make sure you get all the right supplies. Would definitely recommend stopping here first before going to any of the big box stores.

Last week I ventured into Higgins to find myself looking at some of the most beautiful and dark green treated lumber I have personally every gazed upon.

I picked out about 5 2 by 6 by roughly 16 feet too inches long. The girth I'm not sure but heavy as to be expected being professionals. If you want some beautiful green pine finish wood to craft fancy furniture, any kind of furniture really that is high end that can compete with the finest mahogany, oak, you name it come get it at the Higginbottam wood emporium where the wood is hard and ready to be used to build all kinds of things.

I built a table and chair set. Planning to auction it off but cannot figure out how to get it on Christie's high end auction site yet. Ebay is too "cheap" of a venue for my carpentry plus I put a custom copper label on each piece with my company name and logo, also numbered.

Great place. Neat ,clean organized. Staff has a great attitude, willing to answer any questions.From the cashier to the loading person at the yard. Prices are fair and competitive.

I won’t buy treated lumber anywhere else but here. Guys in the yard are great, and the folks in the store are helpful and polite.

They have a lot of everything great small town hardware store very friendly staff always helpful.
Prices are competitive with big stores with better help.
