Rock Creek Lakes Resort

Had a wonderful five-day vacation with my family. We stayed in a comfortable cabin at Rock Creek Lakes Resort. Easy access to the incredible Mosquito Flats and Little Lakes Wilderness with their rushing creeks and snow-capped mountains. We treated ourselves to desserts from the Resort store. Yummy. We all caught fish but they may not have totalled a pound. Highly recommend the resort.

We ate here on our way to a Pack trip. The place has great pies and smoked meats (sandwiches), outdoor seating only, but plenty of room and in full shade. They close the grill at 3, so plan accordingly. Didn't actually stay at the resort itself.

Absolutely loved having lunch at their little cafe, after hiking Little Lakes Valley Trail. The bbq is very decent and the homemade pies are fantastic. We witnessed a pre-teen squeal with pure delight when she discovered they had a couple of her absolute favorite fruit pies that day! Service was friendly. We ate at the small balcony section, but you can also eat inside at the extremely cute counter, or outside under a tent. We will definitely go back - perfect pre or post hike meal and rest stop.

My son and I stopped in here after a long day of hiking. We ate lunch at the restaurant and it was amazing my son really enjoyed his grilled cheese sandwich. The chef was kind to make it on a hamburger bun for him. The side for that was a bag of chips.
I got the brisket sandwich and it was so worth it. I’ve heard everybody talking about how good the brisket was, and they were right. We both grabbed a root beer and enjoyed our afternoon together.
Afterwards we stopped into the store and got some nightcrawlers to go fishing. Make sure to stop here on your next trip!

My husband and stopped for lunch at the Cafe. The smoked pork sandwich was delicious. The peach cobbler, what can I say except YUMMO! This is such a cute place for lunch? We are going to try breakfast.

What a special place! We always stop by whenever we are in Mammoth.

The place is cozy and owners are very friendly.

We ordered a brisket sandwich and it was freaking delicious. Followed by a huge serving of warm peach cobbler a la mode, with a fresh mug of hot coffee. I haven’t felt so tickled and delighted by a meal in a long time.

Go for a walk or drive around to see the beautiful Rock Creek Lake. Then come back around for seconds.

This place has some of the best BBQ! You owe it to yourself to try either the brisket sandwich or the grilled cheese with peppers. Additionally, the cobblers and brownie sundaes are the perfect treat after finishing a hike. I have also heard great things about their breakfast but have yet to make it up there for that. All of this, on top of the fact that the owners and staff are some of the greatest people, make this a must visit destination.

In all honesty, this place has some of the *best* food this side east of the Sierras. Fresh, quality ingredients The brisket sandwich is like no other I've ever had. The chili also obviously made with attention and love. The cobbler, once a famous pie, still is freshly made and worth a trip to RC lakes resort. I mean, cobber is almost a pie, but without the bottom crust, right? Add vanilla ice cream and Bam! Heaven. Really though, Rock Creek Lake resort is made with love, and it shows.

Beautiful lake setting surrounded by majestic mountain peaks. Lots of accessible fishing along the shore line. Lodge has good food and pies! Be sure to check out nearby Mosquito Flats for hiking. Our group just went up for a day of fishing but it will always be a memorable time.

I didn't stay here I was at the Rock Creek Lodge a mile down the road but I popped in for a slice of pie that I had seen in a YouTube video. Turns out the lady that made the pies in the YouTube video has retired but the new owners carry on the recipe in the form of a cobbler. It was delicious. They also have a small store with all the little things you might have forgot to pack. They also have a great selection of beer for being such a small place.

We went there early in the day specifically for pie, but we got there before they had baked any fresh pies for the day.

I had a slice of yesterday's berry pie with a fresh cup of coffee. It was still among the best pieces of Pie I've had in my life.

They serve breakfast and I think other meals although I was only there for pie.

Service was good all the employees are friendly it's a nice little Mountain Store please do stop in.

Beautiful setting, very quite and peaceful. Great cabin, we were in number nine, and it was extremely clean and very well stocked. Good fishing in the lake right across the street and close and easy access to some great hiking trails and more fishing lakes. All employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful and Jim, the owner, provided me with some great fishing tips. We were celebrating our fiftieth wedding anniversary and it was a most memorable stay!!

Wonderful, in every way. The owners, staff, the food and of course the ice-cream & crisps. Great selection of gifts for the family and we love their signature bar-b-que sauces. A small but surprisingly good selection in their market and fishing supplies. We bring our grandchildren here every year...first thing they want to do is go to "Pie in the Sky" as it once was called and will always be known as such to our family...we do miss those pies! Boats & kyaks can be rented and they make it easy. Thanks RCLL for making our stay a joy!

Be sure and stop in at the grocery store to get fresh homemade tortillas, Danish pastries, and great fresh roasted sliced turkey to make great sandwiches! You can luck out and even buy fresh jerkey across the street. And a great used book store

The PIE! OMG! Peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla bean AND WHIPPED CREAM!
And the burgers age awesome.....then comes.....THE BRISKET SANDWICH. Hahaha I know, it sounds like a commercial but if it's really that amazing. Lisa and I go up and have a sandwich and the pie then we have a kayak reserved and go paddle around for a couple hours and is nothing but fun! Check it out.....!

Wondergul desserts. We had the blueberry cobbler and the crust was exceptional. Very friendly people. Also, well stocked store.

After a long and beautiful hike to Gem Lake I look forward to some cobbler at the Rock Creek restaurant. They have everything there but the cobbler is what I long for. Need to get there most often before 3 or it is all gone!

Miss this place.. The best to do lake fishing and creek fishing.. clean well maintained. And great ppl.

This place is one of the best you can find in the High Sierras. Even though it's at 9300 feet, it's always beautiful here. At that altitude though, it's the last to get out from under the snow, and the first to go under it. If you want to stay here, make sure it is available first. The facilities, the views, the aviance, not to mention the people that run it are just all great.

Awesome. We had a fantastic time. Owners are nice and chill, cabins are equipped, peaceful, and close to amazing hiking. NOTE the elevation 10k ft and plan a down day to acclimate.
