Giant Food

First time at this location. Customer service was excellent. I was looking for a few items and couldn't locate them, and this nice employee (Joe) was nice enough to leave his produce section and assist me, and I found everything I went in there to get. I ended up getting a few of the employee suggestions. Joe was very nice and polite. Thank you for your kindness, Joe.

Went straight to the self check out. I asked a worker about the bakery station. I was given specific information and I get there to grab my baguette and rolls. I would recommend

Really nice space. Had so many discounts and really clean space they got.

I hadn't been to that location for a few years because it was not a good place to shop. But now it is one of my favorite locations. The freshest Produce, clean and clear aisles, friendly staff and the best assortment of Boars Head Deli meats and cheeses.

I was very pleased with the cashier Issac he was pleasant, attentative, and friendly throughout my whole transaction he is a keeper. Keep up the awesome work. Thank you I will come again. I would also like to commend the young man in the deli the 8pcs of chicken I bought was cooked by him because I said to him the chicken look good and he cooked it not only did it look good it was finger lickin' good and I mean it, it wasn't dry it was cooked perfect it was delicious thank you again Giant on Brentwood Rd NE I will be back.

Updated review, Since first going here the produce has gotten better. They have added more fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. The addition of self checkout has made it a faster process. I no longer loathe going to this grocery store. The hours of operation are long and the best days to go are Tuesday - Thursday open to 3pm. No one is in there and it's usually fully stocked.

Old review Produce are just okay. They have as many organic produce as the 7-11 down the street. On the bright side it is open late.

It was crowded, but I found a line that had 2 customers in front of me. They had almost all of the lines open to serve the customers during the holiday rush. I purchased some vanilla icecream today to have with my sweet potato pie.

Excellent customer customer and communication. I was intrigued by the recommendation to try new cereals. In specific.. while at check out the good worker pointed out a cereal of his favorite choices and persuaded me to try it. Me and my family appreciate the opportunity.

Overall appearance of store was inviting,and well stocked! I had the pleasure of being service by Sales Associate, Mr Phil. Mr. Phil presented a welcoming presence, offered ice breaking conversation as he packaged and place my bags in the cart.
He is an excellent people person!

I love shopping here because they seem to be the only grocery store in my area that understands the fine art of having quality fresh collard, kale, mustard and turnip greens available. The other NE grocers need to take a lesson from this store's manager. I mean that seriously. I have seen greens in other stores that are ready for composting. Where this store takes a hit is in the placement of its checkout lines. Everytime I finish shopping & I am ready to buy, I cringe. 4 stars. 2022 EDIT: I have since moved out of Washington, DC. Before I moved the Giant near Rhode Island Metro Station greatly improved their checkout process with numerous self checkout stations. They still kill other grocery stores in vegetables.

A wonderful grocery store offering nearly any item you could want at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly, the selection is very large, the prices are very low, and the checkout process is smooth (use the self-checkout if possible). This location can get a little crowded in the evenings but plan accordingly and Giant Food offers a not-unpleasant shopping experience. Overall, highly recommended for grocery shopping.

Good parking, store has been improving over time and renovating so it has gotten better. Usually really busy and long lines though. Must be staffing issues.

Staffed, stocked, clean & convenient hours. They don't have everything I need, but they're way better than Safeway and I've rarely had to wait. Good job!

Never had a problem shopping here. Muffins in the bakery are to die for. Always fresh. Bakery is tops.

This is not my regular store to shop. I always stop by when I shop at Home Depot
I love shopping there. The staff is friendly and nice. I love the ladies that work st the customer service counter.
