Larger gift shop within the airport. Fairly good selection and variety of last minute gifts. Would recommend visiting Old Town Albuquerque if you're interested in more genuine local gifts.

Recently in April 2023, I went into this store to make a purchase. The store has very cool and nice items.

I had an encounter with a cashier,(appeared to be an elderly gentleman), who was unprofessional and rude in my opinion. I kindly asked for him to break a 5 dollar bill into ones after completing my purchase, and he proceeded to make a sarcastic remark implying what a practical tip amount should be for someone. He made a comment about gas being high. He had no idea about why I asked him to break the 5 dollar bill. Some comments are better left unsaid. Perhaps, he should focus on making customer experiences more positive.

The shop has lots of fun items but the unfriendly guy running the shop started closing the doors at 5:30 and many people were trying to go in. The website said they close at 9pm. Apparently they don’t need sales.

Cute stuff but the cashier was unprofessional and rude. The store next door was incredibly friendly and their is an outpost store near A8 that had amazing stuff and were very friendly.

Manager is rude, offensive, degrading to employees. This old man needs to be fired or thought a lesson. Took his photo in pic attached.

Came in to get a couple gifts. Met a nice gal behind the counter. As I was getting ready to pay and heading back to the counter an older white man was talking down to an older woman behind the counter. I suggested to him that he didn't need to speak with her that way. He argued that he just as a loud voice. I said, no u you are being inappropriately rude and talking down to her. He said to the woman, that he would continue the conversation when I left and wasn't interfering. I suggested he should treat people better.

Why do people who have such disrespected for others remain in such positions of power. Why can't people like this, just find a hole to bury themselves in.

Standing here at 6:30 AM. Hours indicating they're open. However, all is dark and locked up? It was recommended by a friend that I stopped in here to collect souvenirs and gifts for my family prior to departure....... What a shame, now I have to leave with nothing.........Ridiculous!

I regretfully purchased an item from this shop. They have nice options, but the cashier (older male) is extremely unprofessional and rude. He'll sigh about every little thing and yell accusations at you while you're looking.
