All Seasons True Value/Just Ask Rental

This is one of my favorite true values in Charleston. You get a sense that this place is very well managed because there's so many employees here that are incredibly helpful. But there is one that is truly exceptional, Autumn. There's been a few times that I've gone in in politely deferred help that was offered, and she could see right where I was turning around in the aisles what I was looking for. More often than not she knows exactly where it is or a possible solution to a project I'm working on.

Great place. Very knowledgeable staff. One of the guys helped me cobble together some odd parts to make a replacement for a missing rotation lock for an old bench vise. Works great and only a couple of bucks.

The personal service and desire to help the customer find the item they need is unmatched in today's shopping experience! Knowledgeable staff advise and have even found products online when their vendors can't immediately procure! At no profit to them they pass this info on. This kind of customer care is invaluable and should be rewarded with patronage.

They always have the best chicken food in stock. Always very helpful.

They are super friendly and helpful. I needed a spring for my gardening clippers that fit and wouldn't be a hand workout, and the employee was so nice! If you want something they don't have in stock, they'll order it for you and you can come by in a couple of days and pick it up. They will help you any way they can.

I am fairly new to Charleston. With as much caution and at times fearmongering that happens with hurricane storms, our local True Value on James Island goes WAY above and beyond to ensure our peace of mind :)!! They open early, stay late and stay open when the big boys refuse to (corporate stores). I am so grateful for their exemplary service overall. Beyond that, their store is very large and well stocked with items larger stores can’t carry, as True Value specializes in hardware and more. You’ve made another loyal lifetime customer!!

Original Post: Some of my problems started with Husqvarna however this shop needs a little help on how to leave a finished project. Everyone that I interacted with was pleasant and did the best they could to help me. However when I did finally pick up my mower that should have been under warranty, This is a result of Husqvarna denying a claim that was clearly a manufacturing defect, (main bolt that held the blade broke) My mower was returned to me without the spark plug that was in it when I initially left it there. The cost that they did charge were reasonable. The frustration comes when you unload what should be a working product back into your driveway and try to start the mower and realize that the shop took the spark plug out and did not return it. I noticed this after they were closed on a Saturday and now we'll be going to another shop Lowe's to finish the repair myself. If the shop does contact me after they read this post I'll be happy to update it.

The employees are super helpful even helped me in the parking lot with their drill to help me get my rusted licensee plate off. And they let me barrow their phone when I locked my keys in the car.

This is one of the remaining hardware stores where salespeople will give you as much attention helping you find the proper sink washer as they would buying a big ticket item. I have been using them for years and they are routinely more helpful than the big box retailers.

Very helpful staff. Have most everything thing you need. Also, the go to place to get your propane tanks refilled. Much better option than the big box stores.

Always so helpful... with everything. From large equipment rentals (this is my go to place) to the spot for any hardware, diy projects and purchases. Staff is really knowledgeable, and always super helpful. Im a "project person," always with some major project or another going on. My partner and I have several small businesses and properties to maintain. This place is like my secret weapon for tackling the seemingly impossible. It's amazing what one can do with the right tools!

GREAT customer service! They had exactly what I needed and I was asked promptly by multiple people if I needed help. After being disappointed by Lowes multiple times recently it was so refreshing to visit this store!

Always my first stop when needing things, they have the friendliest and most helpful staff who actually know what they are talking about. From household needs to boat trailer rebuilding parts and everything in between, there is no better store in the area.

I'm a local Home Inspector and I like to refer my clients to this hardware store because of service. It is a hub of activity and a wealth of knowledge. If you want a 2X4 go to Lowes, If you NEED to fix something right go to True Value on Foley Rd.
