Forest Pork Store

First time visiting the Forest Pork Store and it will not be the last!
This is a great old fashioned German Bucher shop!

Food:
There is a fantastic display of fresh meat, with every kind of cut you could want and there is a freezer full of cuts as well. The real star here is the German sausages, the franks, the salami and the hamburgers!
We got some salami to snack on and I have to say the pepper corn and garlic salami slapped! Then later we had some franks and some of the hamburgers and all I can say is WOW!

The Staff:
The staff here are very polite and attentive. The staff were all dressed very professional with bucher shirts, aprons and a bucher's hat!

Store Layout:
When you enter you are presented with an old style store front and they carry a number of German products such as Kuchen and stollen as well as Knorr packet products and a variety of fizzy drinks in thr fridges.
The buckers area is to the back of the store and you collect your ticket as you line up and the staff will be right with you!
Once you collect your meat they will gove you a ticket and you can make your way to the check out and you exit through a separate door from which you entered.

Overall Experience:
I highly recommend stopping by the Forest Pork Store for authentic German sausages as well as quality meats!
Its a little pricey however, its worth every penny!
I know I will be back whenever we are visiting family on Long Island!

This is the absolute best grocery store for German food. I have been coming here all of my life and it has stood the test of time.

I host an Oktoberfest every year and buy everything from the Forest Pork Store. Needless to say, the food is a big hit.....great quality and delicious taste!

Bottom line, this place brings me to my happy place!

First of all, don’t come here hungry. I don’t know what exactly that smell was but it was like every wonderful barbecue you’ve ever had in one place. Really fantastic brats and other German sausages and food. I wanted to eat immediately after I left.

Excellent German sausage Haus. They also have many other German products such as Kuchen and stollen. The kraut and mustard selection was awesome and the sausage is all made by them. It is a bit of a drive from Westchester but it is also the only store like it which I have found.

Have been shopping here for years. Best place for authentic German food and treats. Love their peanut franks, salami, and smoked pork chops the best. A little price-but worth every penny! 👍

Simply the best! When you want the best in German provisions. Their Black Forest ham is the best, boar's head doesn't even come close! The service is second to none. Don't forget to get some bacon when you go!

The meat is amazing, the selection of German imported goods is great and makes me feel very nostalgic. The best part however is the customer service. The crew is very friendly and helpful and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Will definitely be coming back here from now on for most of my meat shopping trips and will slowly eat my way through their selection.

Needed something for superbowl and the Forest Pork Store in Huntington really delivered. Superbowl Sausage had just the right amount of spice. We put some links in a puff pastry for some homemade pigs in a blanket. Will definitely be going back for more!

One of the few remaining old school butcher shops. Great selection of fresh prime meat and wursts. It's worth the drive to check them out.

I only have positive things to say as well. My family used to visit the shop in Ridgewood and we finally made it to the Huntington Location. Our favorite as the krainerwurst, cervelat, chicken rolls, pretzel rolls (ask for the salt, they will give you a container). There is also a bunch of German / European items throughout the store, such as mustards, sauces, and candies. They have adorable Christmas shaped fondant candies that would be too cute for me to even want to eat - they were a little expensive or I would have bought them all. Oh and they have other candies shaped like a pig which I wanted as well. Customer service is top notch. Needless to say, I will be back.

Place is clean and well organized. Butchers were very helpful with all the different meats and cuts. First time going but will definitely go back for more.

An amazing selection of German delicacies, including so many different kinds of wurst, The potato salad and coleslaw are amazing and the regular butcher section has nothing but the best.

Landjager is excellent, cold cuts are excellent, snacks and cookies are all excellent.. its a great little German Deli/meathouse

The best German pork store this side of Dusseldorf! If you want tip top Wurst, meat, salads and German rye bread this is the place for you. Friendly folk and clean as a whistle. Can't say enough good things about this place. But then once you've eaten a few of their bratwurst, kreinerwurst or knockwurst you'll understand!

Always great food . Many great food items. Try the krainerwurst or leberkas.

Probably the best German butcher shop I've ever been to. It is a traditional style business where everyone is very experienced and very polite. It's usually very busy Friday and Saturday.

Still the best. As a kid, I came here with my grandparents and i have fond memories of receiving little treats like soft candies and mini franks. Now that i am not close by, i make an annual pilgrimage when i return to the north shore and am never disappointed . I still recognize some of the staff and the quality and variety of meats has not changed. Love it!

This is my favorite store! Everything is fresh! Cold cuts and salads are always fresh! Knuckwurst sausages are my favorite. A large variety of German products! And the staff is fenominal!

Best German butcher I've ever been to. Leberkase is to die for. I needed to bring some upstate for my mother it's so good!
