Good environment. It's just a great place to drop by and grab a couple of things before starting on dinner. I'm glad to have one of these in the central part of the two towns. Less than a 2 minute drive from my house.

This store had decent prices, and the staff is all pretty much friendly. I find all my grocery needs here, and then some. I have my favorite 😍 checkers, always makes my day.

Excellent produce, excellent quality of meats and best prices! It’s understandable to have to wait in line occasionally but in general you get through very quickly! I love the bulk section! All customer service there is great besides two employees who are always grouchy! I just don’t go in their line.

I shop here most of the time. It's pretty easy to find what you need. The staff here are super friendly and the prices are fair for this inflation we are having around the world.

A discount supermarket that has managed to keep the small-town, friendly feel. The offer an excellent selection of anything you might need in a daytime or late-night shopping trip. The staff is consistently friendly, cheerful and helpful, and the prices are very competitive. Just need to have free samples and it would be perfect.

Great prices, good selection. The bulk section is so handy and one of the main reasons I shop there whenever possible.

I was here with my daughter, shopping during the "Covid Experience". This store is well stocked with a great selection and variety of goods. There's a huge selection of bulk dry goods, fresh selection of produce, meats, breads, dairy etc. Prices were good with many items at prices less than Safeway of Dallas. Even with the Social Distancing in place, lines were a minimum for checking out and even with self packing of groceries, it went smooth and quick. The store is clean, people friendly and helpful. Something occured while we were there..a woman who was using the self checkout arrived at the point of paying for her items. She went to use her debit card and the machine "ate" it. With the card
unavailable, she asked a clerk for assistance and wanted to pay with a check. The store would not allow this due to the fact the checks did not have her personal info printed on her checks (the woman had only recently opened her checking account and these were free bank checks provided until the printed ones were mailed to her.) She was able to provide proper id but without cash, proper checks or means of payment she was SOL. She didn't have a huge basket full of groceries...so several folk offered to help her by paying for the food. Much as they tried, she graciously refused the offers. I don't know the final outcome, as we had to leave but the message to readers of this is if you shop here, be certain you take with you what they require for payment... and don't forget to bring your own bags, unless you want the ones they provide for a small fee. All in all, it's a great place to shop when you are looking to save money on quality foods.

Great customer service. Paul searched multiple places to find my coconut milk and Les in produce was kind enough to ask if I wanted a cabbage cut vs having to buy a whole one. Their positive and kind attitudes was wonderful and I would recommend this store based on the positive interactions I had

Friendliest Staff In The World! I love coming here. I come here almost daily for something before work or normal grocery shopping. They are usually busy, but very fast at their work. This place is always clean and has the best prices, let alone the largest selection.

Waremart always has the best selection of products & the lowest prices in town, but it's usually busier than other shopping choices around Monmouth & Independence.

The main suggestion that I have is to make sure that you have plenty of time to safely navigate the aisles and get through the checkout process. Remember that courteously waiting your turn & maintaining 'social distancing guidelines' while interacting within the community, is a benefit for US all. This being said, it does seem like shopping errands require more time to get done, than they did before the pandemic started.

During Covid, this store was EXCELLENT at organizing for social distancing so that customers were not frantically cutting lines and pushing. Other Winco stores should take note, grocery shopping isn't supposed to feel like a garage sale.
The staff at Independence Waremart are hard-working, caring, attentive people who make me feel like coming back the next time I need groceries. They stock everything I need and more, and at affordable pricing. I drive miles to get here because of the ease of shopping, the items available, and price.

I had a short grocery list and came out with only 2 bags full. Found everything on my list and then some. Men. Impulse buyers. People here are friendly and knowledgeable. Quality of goods are high. Prices are the lowest around.

Waremart is a great neighborhood-like store for all of your grocery needs. A plethora of different food and brand choices and, of course, great employees is always apparent. Their hard work and dedication to maintaining a well stocked, clean, and friendly environment is difficult to overlook, and when you get to know even just a few of the fine people who work there, it's hard not to feel at home.

The staff is very helpful for finding items now that they have moved everything. The selection for everything is amazing!! Love discounts so always shop here for groceries. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Polk County for groceries.

I only give 5 because I live here. This store needs to have a better check out system. More checkers. Always have a person guiding people to a check out stand. This is the only store that causes me anxiety when trying to check out. I do understand we are in strange times. I'm here to help not to hurt.

The best overall grocery store in town. The employees are warm and friendly, and the prices are the best with a good selection. Every once in a while I try another store and it's guaranteed I'm going to get a sticker shock! YIKES!!! Back to Waremart!!!

Can’t beat the prices here and if you MUST have fresher produce/meat/bread, just go by Roth’s on your way through town. Staff is friendly, sometimes TOO friendly, but that’s just small town life for ya. Overall, best grocery store around!

Best prices by far and good quality. Produce tends to be a little hit or miss (smaller selection, bananas usually green), but everything else is A+. Bulk selection, and selection overall, not as great as a full-sized WINCO, but sufficient. Staff is fantastic. This is the only place I shop if I can help it.
