Mack Aaron's Apple House

This is one of the smaller Apple houses in the north Georgia area. What's nice about it is it's friendly people the owners on site. The staff takes good care of you ready to answer any questions you have. It's nice that samples that they have at the different apples and the different products they have. It's worth stopping in just to try to apple cider. So fresh so refreshing yes we had to take a couple gallons home with us. Also the fried pies are excellent many different flavors all of them good that I tried.
So it's a good visit a good stop we walked away with some apples some cider fried pie and we also scored some Vidalia onions. And today we didn't get one but they had bushels of pumpkins to get ready for Halloween.

This little place is awesome!!! Their baked goods and slushies are delicious. They offer a variety of fresh produce, jams, candies and so much more!!!!

We definitely plan on stopping here on our next trip.

We travel from Tennessee and have been purchasing apples here for years. They have A wide variety of apples as well as other produce. Homemade handmade fried pies. Oh, my! So Yummy! The owners, Bill and Gina, are wonderful people. Ellijay is in the beautiful mountains of Georgia and we always enjoy our trip. Highly recommend!

I love this place reminds me of Apple Hill in Northern California. My husband keeps talking about Fried Apple Pies and I had to have one while driving in the country. This store is the best! I could gain a hundred pounds here!

We stopped there yesterday while aimlessly driving through the mountains. The fried pies were excellent. We loved them. The pink lady apples were great as well. The fresh apple bread was a bit too sweet for me but that is just my taste. Overall, we had a great time at the shop.

This place is incredible. The employees were super nice. (Chris and another young guy). Great variety and Chris offered us samples. We walked in when they were closing and they said take your time. We walked out spending $100 on fresh apple butter, peaches, blackberry jam and honey. The best money we spent on our trip.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. I love this family and I would not miss a delicious taste of cider or fried yummy pies or honey and all the delicious apples and other goodies they offer. It's a friendly family filled atmosphere I love.

My favorite apple house, My mother was a " Southern " who's family owned a farm near the Orchards. I am proud of this Cartecay area. The apples taste better than the ones at the stores, Aaron' has the Best Fried pies ever tasted. Always crisp. The cider is out of site. Friendly people own and run this store. Again, one of the Best Friend pies and cider. Thanks Aaron family for all your work!!!

Of all of the apple houses in this area, Aaron's is the only one I will visit. It is a simple, small, family-owned and operated business and it shows. That is what I love the most about it! Being a small business ourselves, we truly appreciate others who do the same hold the same values we do. Every time I stop, I feel like I am visiting with family, catching up on what's new on the farm. If you are looking for a small scale, family-run place to stop, you will not be disappointed here.

We visited at least 5 apple houses and this one was the warmest, most hospitable out of them. We tried some of their delicious warm apple cider, talked apples, family recipes and had a couple laughs. The apples were delicious as well! Highly recommend.

Skip the crowded orchards and come here!

I bought about 5 pies and one apple fritter here and at the same time unknowingly dropped my wallet on the floor there. Didn't notice it until I got back home after they were closed. I called them in the morning and asked if they had found a wallet and they said they had found one. It was full of cash and an important document that I needed for travel. The ownership at Mack Aaron's Apple house could have easily taken the money out of the wallet and returned it to me. When they returned the wallet to me it was 100% intact with no money removed and the important travel Document was still inside. I could not have been any happier. The gentleman who returned it to me was either the owner or a manager there. I will now forever have a special place in my heart for southern hospitality and Southern honesty do to my positive experience at Mack Aaron's Apple house. And just so you know, their pies and apple fritters Rock!

We go Ellijay’s apple row every fall and we check out all of the apple houses but Mack Aaron’s has the best cider and the friendliest employees. All of their baked goods are delicious. Definitely worth the drive from Atlanta.

One of the employees there, Chris(redhead & red bearded guy) is always helpful & knowledgeable about their produce whether it's apples, peaches (which they currently have both for sale, now), veggies, too! He introduced us today to some wonderful freeze-dried fruits & Eskimo ICE CREAM in Quart Jars...WHO KNEW, HUH?!! Will go back soon because they give you tastes of the produce &/or products they sell & are very honest & charge reasonable prices 😉 !

Friendly and helpful. We were able to sample many products to decide exactly what we wanted. Best fried pies in the area. Can't say enough nice things about this store. After hubby tasted all the goodies, he said were we going back to get more before the apple season is over.

Mack Aaron's Apple House is much smaller than other nearby apple houses. Selection/price for apples and other produce is similar to other areas.

I have been to every apple house in Georgia. The fried pies are all the same for the most part. Mack Aaron's is different because of the crust. Most places use a machine to roll their dough which can make it a bit doughy textured. Mack Aaron's has an old lady with a frozen marble rolling pin making ultra flaky pie crusts.

You may also get lucky and run into the guy making fresh fried pig skins if you get there early on the weekend.

My wife and I like to visit when we are in the area. We always find good food to eat right away or take home, and the service is friendly. Mainly apple-related of course, but they also have peach fritters, variously flavoured ciders, breads, tomatoes, honeys.
