Nice old school store with season fresh vegetables. They had a fresh salad bar and a nice selection of yummy soups. This place has all the spices and hot sauces you will ever need.

Love this local place! Good selection of produce, even better selection of small company sodas and their salad/soup bar is the best I have ever experienced in my 37 yeara. The staff is helpful and polite, and the owner will answer all of your questions without hesitation (I asked a lot). Highly recommend this local establishment and will miss it terribly when we move.

Update as of 1JUNE2022: The salad bar is back and functioning but you cannot serve yourself. You need to get a worker who make your salad the way you ask who then hands it over to you to pay then eat. Sodas, candy and veggies are still for you to pick out. Every time we come to Indy for the 500 (from O'ahu) we eat here. Love it!

I have come to enjoy the staff and most of all the fresh produce, salad bar and soups they offer. They also have candies from many decades ago that were and still are very popular. In addition, the largest selection of soda (soda pop) and other items found at a country store. farmers bring their best to this store. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is a true relic, and we would all do well to help preserve and save spaces like this with our monetary support. Candy selection is out of this world. Dad's Orange Cream Soda available. What more do you need?

My best friend’s parents own this business & I know firsthand from working for them just how much hard work they have put into the store! I love the soups & chilis & seasonal salsa. I recommend the black diamond watermelon & trying the salad bar. The lettuce is always fresh & it has just about anything that you could want on a salad! This is a great business owned by even better people & I highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner! It’s a cute & unique spot in Speedway.

My wife and I found this little place a year or so ago. we've came back about once a month since.

Hundreds of sodas, good soups and chili, nice salad bar. Lots of candy, small batch jelly, sauces, etc. Fresh veggies and more.

This was my 1st visit to The Famous Tomato and I had a great experience. Although it is mainly a place to buy produce and local products I made an event of it. There are all sorts of old school candies from the 80's, vintage and premium sodas, salsas, sauces, and a small salad bar.

One of the best salad bars in Indy and a top-notch market with unique sauces and other goodies.

My hunnie brought me a carmel apple from here. I've been working so hard all day. we were both like WOW 5 bucks. What's so special about this apple?😒?😕?🤨? Butummmmm, yeah, 5 BUCKS is not enough!!!! This place is amazing. They have a wide selection of produce as well as hot sauce and a delicious salad bar. I'm rarely on the west side of town but this place makes me want to come out of my way just to come and get some chili.
