Downtown Common Grounds

We enjoyed Downtown Common Grounds. Very laid back atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had the frozen hot chocolate and my son loved it. He liked it so much that he got a brain freeze 😀 I got the Robin Williams Latte with banana and dark chocolate and I asked for oat milk. I liked my drink. I would like to try other options sometime as it was difficult to make a decision. 😀

Favorite place to chill with a book or my console in downtown. Love the vibes, comfortable couches and the latte selection. Occasional open mics and events on the weekend!!

Visiting Greensboro for the weekend and came across this coffee shop with a friend. The homemade pastries were phenomenal and exceeded the normal coffee shop pastries you’d find. The staff was very friendly and helped us pick out the best pastry to try. I ended up with a blueberry bacon cinnamon roll & I tried a macadamia nut iced latte with oat milk, a new flavor combo I didn’t know I needed in my life. The ambience was cozy and we spent hours chatting and enjoying the low playing music. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m visiting.

This was a great Sunday afternoon stop after the downtown trolly ride. There is a trolly stop right on the corner across the street from the store front. (The trolly is a free service and fun).

We had macha lattes and I had a salted chocolate chip cookie that was fabulous and my friend had an delicious almond danish.

The service was very prompt and friendly and all in all we had a lovely time.

Same great coffee, better location. The dark roast is good & lots of unusual kinds of lattes. Lots of room inside & out. Great to watch the world go by.

This coffee shop is in a good location with plenty of parking. I love the decor and atmosphere of this location. Our coffee was great and service was quick.

Very well ran. It's inviting to conversation or for those who want private time. Wine choices are nice, coffee choices are great. They have a liquor selection that complements the coffee flavors.

Loved the arts show on the walls. Locally owned. Dedicated parking lot. Outside seating. Yummy baked goods but no GF on the regular. Open to host your event. Bathroom gender neutral and clean.

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is always inviting and very laid back, the dark and moody lighting is very comfortable. The baristas are sweet, patient and cute. The coffee is well above par in comparison to others in the area, highly recommend the Robert Downey Jr iced 🥰♥

Spent the day working at the new Common Grounds at the corner of Elm & Gate City. Vibe, as it was mid afternoon during the week, was quiet and perfect for working or school (with a few patrons intermittently on calls). Parking was easy in gravel lot behind the coffee shop. As I was there for 4+ hours I had a latte and an americano. Both perfect. Will definitely be back.

Manny is the best batista around! Always smiling, greeting me by name and knows my drink when I walk in.

The barista Carly is amazing! Made my drink really quick and was super friendly, she recommended I try a drink she created and I absolutely loved it! Will be back soon!

They are open late for beer and wine and a lovely outdoor patio. An AMAZING environment to hang out and spend time in. Coffee is great and pastries are too. They have a banana chocolate latte that’s bomb too!

I've visited a couple of times and enjoyed it each time. I love the entertainment theme of the coffee and drink selections.
The person that makes the coffee does it so cleanly! Each cup is a work of art. Truly a pleasure to observe the zen while preparing drinks.

I highly recommend visiting on a Tuesday. One of my favorite intuitive readers is there doing readings and providing guidance.

They have plenty of seating for conversations and relaxing with your drink or baked good.
