Shroomy's Game Store

Phenomenal game store, the owner is a great guy, all the employees are very nice and helpful, I traded a decent amount of my card collection and some other things to them and was able to walk home with a Nomad and Gameboy pocket which ive been looking to add to my collection, incredible experience will be going again soon. They have some great arcade titles aswell, the store is incredibly neat and easy to find things, they also run events for MTG and such!

Recently decided to sell all of my retro games and consoles and stumbled upon this shop in glenmont. The owner is super chill and knowledgeable and I genuinely enjoyed taking it up with him. Very fair pricing for the retro games I sold and his inventory is more than fairly priced. (Sold a bunch of sega Saturn games and Pokémon cards)

What I loved about this store is the community engagement the owner is doing with meets and tournaments. A lot of retro stores are in the business just to flip things and make a profit but you can genuinely tell this owner cares about his product and the community he’s apart of now. Some big dreams coming to fruition here!

10/10, if I could rate this place higher I would. I will definitely be coming back !

Great place. I’ve been in a couple times for gifts for my kids but there’s so much cool retro stuff my time. My son saved his $ to buy an old Nintendo DS. It was a big deal to him. The owner we spoke to really explains everything and knows the products. He even mentioned that everything is warranted and to just bring it back if we had any problems with it. That’s very generous considering my son was purchasing an older used item. Such a fun place!

Had an amazing experience this weekend! Had an awesome experience playing retro games over the weekend and decided I wanted to get started building a collection and playing retro games myself! I guess I got into gaming too late. Evan was incredibly helpful to Ryan and I - and even gave a description of Mario Party 9 which convinced me that I don't need to spend money on that iteration of the series. I will be going back this weekend!

The store is amazing. Staff is always kind and friendly. Wide variety of games and consoles as well as trading cards. It's a great place to meet and play with friends

LOVE this store and the staff! This is our go-to game store! They have such great products, and we have always been helped when we have questions. Definitely would recommend! I was just in last weekend to buy a Nintendo Switch and some games and I couldn't have asked for better service! They even offer a military discount 😊

This is a new business!!! And is located right on 9w in Glenmont. Right near romos (which btw has incredible food and service also, so grab grub while you visit)

First, we felt welcomed as soon as we stepped in! The shop is clean and stocked nicely! The selection is incredible! I've been searching for a Dreamcast for a while and they had one!!

They're very knowledgeable about each and every thing they sell. Great variety in games and we were even able to get our Nintendo restored! It came out fantastic.

I would 100% recommend this store! It's truly a Glenmont gem! So lets keep them in Business!

Gary was great! He took care of me and was really insightful with a lot of the information. I definitely didn't expect to come in today and leave feeling ecstatic. Definitely recommend coming into the store and shopping with him to others.

One of the owners sold me a fat ps3 when he still worked at Jay St. Games way back. Still works to this day, and this store is a testament to the fact that he was the best employee in that store. It's good to see him thriving with his own store now. Any time someone needs the classic stuff, I send people here. Good prices, and quality products. Atari to modern day, you'll find it here.

Great store, the owner is super friendly and helpful. There's a fantastic selection of newer and retro games. They have the most playstation 1 games I've ever seen in a store. There's also some arcade games you can play. Highly recommend, thrilled that we have this store in Bethlehem

Probably my favorite place to go for games, their always friendly, helpful, and genuinely cool people. Great deals, great stock, prices are fair. Much better than taking my stuff to trade than GameStop or some other place where I barely get a dollar.
The guys their are honest with prices and what they can and can’t do, they don’t talk up stuff just to get you to buy something and despite my markably eccentric personality their very patient with me. I’ve spent a good couple dollars there now and I don’t regret it in the least, I’ve you have the time stop in and tell them Seth says hello!

This is a wonderful place to visit. There are plenty of games, the cashier was incredibly friendly, and they have some retro games you can play (never got to try Super Mario 3 on the NES before now!). Their selection of keychains based on video games is also awesome, and something I haven't seen at any other retro game store in the area. I'm definitely coming here again.
