Al Forat Market makes wonderful takeout kebabs, barbecued chicken, barbecued meat, barbecued vegetables, and barbecued onions. The chicken, meat, and vegetables are always very fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions are huge, and the prices are budget level. The store is spotlessly clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner is very honest. We have been loyal customers for many years and have told many of our friends, and all of them are now repeat, happy customers.

A very unpretentious and utilitarian market churning out delicious and very reasonably priced grilled halal BBQ kabobs! Service was friendly. Contactless payment available. Doesn't appear to have any online ordering but a call ahead should suffice. Allow 15-30 min depending on time of day.

Back to 5 stars!!! Yayyyyy.

Update... Have been back multiple times, dropped from 5-3 stars. The last two times everything is way over cooked and burnt. Don't know why this is happening?

Lamb and beef kabab, veggie kabab, always charcoal cooked, never propane. Smells like heaven here, nice man, delicious kababs! You can order ahead, he cooks everything to order. We didn't call and only waited 5-10 minutes.
Very authentic place.

Their kebabs are the best value for money. The taste is authentic and the price is really affordable. The guy who makes kebab is kind and friendly. They have a selection of baklava for $14.99/lb. Truly recommended!

This is where the locals come. We enjoy getting their kebabs and picking up fresh baklavas from the market. The meat is cooked to perfection and it’s always delicious. Market has a variety of grains, cookies, dates, desserts, etc.

During my last visit I found this hidden gem. It is a market with a Butcher shop that serves all kinds of BBQ items. You can pick and choose your items from beef and chicken kabobs, kobideh, NY steak ... etc all cooked to perfection and rhe best part of it all is that it is much more cheaper than ordering the same from a restaurant.

If you are a meat fan and need to enjoy a nice dinner that is reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this place. Not your typical restaurant but food quality was great.

Definitely going back next time I'm in town.

Unassuming grocery store that makes really good kebobs. Kebobs are abt $4 a piece.

The place is inside a grocery store so the atmosphere does not count. Very reasonably priced and fresh meat is used since the butcher is within the store. Service is just Ok, but you don't expect much for pickup only orders. I'll go again for the food.

We got dinner from Al Forat. I asked my husband to drive from Fremont to Sunnyvale. 30 mins there and 30 mins back but wow, it was worth it. We got 4 beef kababs, 4 chicken kababs, 4 chicken skewers and 1 tandoori chicken (which is 4 pieces of tandoori chicken). I made a fresh salad with the greens.

We warmed up the food in the oven when my husband got home and it tasted so good! The lavash bread under the meat was delicious. My husband is on a keto diet and this was perfect for that. I saw several people asking about keto in this group and definitely Al Forat fits the bill. Just skip the lavash bread if you're doing keto.

All the food was really good but we all decided that our favourite was the chicken skewer. It's chicken breast charbroiled - which is very easy to dry out if you don't know what you're doing. it's obvious Al Forat knows what they're doing! It was so juicy. second favourite was the tandoori chicken followed by either kababs. But honestly, I could eat any of these options any day. The spices are perfectly balanced and the meat is well marinated.

All this food was for $52 after taxes mashallah. Al Forat might serve halal food but at these prices we felt like it was a steal 🤣

This place has quickly become a family favourite. Instead of frustrating ourselves whenever we want coal bbqed food I think we'll just go to the experts instead 😏

This was a nice discovery. Feeling a bit carniverous after exercising so we wanted meat. They have take out so we ordered some items and waited 15 min. We had koobideh, chicken, spicy chicken, tandoori chicken and vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, onions). All were perfectly cooked and flavorful. It all came with some wraps similar to a tortilla, utensils and a bag of parsley, spinach and onion slices. They had a nice selection of baclava so we ordered some for dessert, our favorite is the pistachio filling. It is a fun store with different products and spices if you cook as well as a Halal butcher shop. Service is nice.

I wish i had words to describe how awesome the BBQ from this place is. Hands down best kababs, chicken tandoori, steak, lamb chops, you name it. My favorite place to go whenever i want fresh and juicy BBQ.

I don't know how long they've been open. Heard of them on the bay area halal foodies group and every since visiting, have had no complaints. Best customer service, the sister was nice and treated everyone with respect. Just got a better feeling than most other markets and restaurants when I called to order bbq meat. The charbroiled meat bbq they have is amazing. The market is small, but seems pretty organized. Definitely check them out.

I could give 10 stars if I could! The best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had! And I’m a Mediterranean lover, I’ve been in many restaurants before and this one by far the best one! It’s a take out kind of thing, we bought and when we got home, we were surprised how good it was!

Just walk in and buy it, you won’t regret it! 10000 starts

I have only good things to say about this place. What really impressed me was the attention to detail and anticipation of customer needs. The kebabs came with complimentary bread and salad. I don’t see this consideration in many high end restaurants and for this reason I will be going back here again.

In terms of flavour we got the seekh kebabs and the spicy Lahori chicken skewers. Really delicious, especially the kebabs.

Everything is halal.

First time , my whole family was surprisely cheap food good quality , wish was near by 45 min from my home that’s y I go on weekends less traffic , planning to go soon , the person was so nice n happily helped

My husband said it's the best chicken he has ever tried. My picky son asked for more and more. I agree, the food is absolutely delicious. And affordable too. Keep in mind there is no seating. Will be back for sure!

Great little gem of a place. Lots of meat and very affordable.

This is a small market that sells kebabs, not a restaurant. The kebabs were juicy and delicious. I recommend calling ahead as they can take about 20-25 minutes to make. They make great catering meats.

We always order Beef and Chicken Kebab for my wife and me. The meat are cooked well and it is very tasty. I also love Chicken skewers especially with white bread that comes with the order. They are organized and clean. It is recommended to give them a call to prepare your order freshly.
