Surf Station 2

We scheduled 2 surf lessons online prior to our spring break trip to St Augustine. It was easy to schedule online and Blane contacted me a week or so ahead of time to answer any questions and give us instructions. The first day of lessons the weather was windy and the surf was rough. Blane texted me the day before to give me a heads up and make sure we were comfortable. We went forward with the lesson and Blane took the time to get the kids in their wetsuits and ready for the day. He was so patient and helpful and the kids had a great time even with the less than ideal conditions. We felt that they were in good hands with Blane and were safe. We ended up adding a third lesson with Blane because they enjoyed it so much. Great experience and we will definitely try to come back this summer to take more lessons with Blane. Thank you!

I was heading home on I-95 today and took a driving break from the heavy downpour. Alex greeted me upon entering the cool surfboard shack and showed me around the place. Lots of used surfboard deals here and I scored some toasty neoprene gloves, to help me survive the wintertime surf season. I highly recommend this stop, since it’s so conveniently located!

Ordered a board to NYC on Tuesday and received it Saturday. Super fast shipping, the board is used but in great conditions just as advertised. Very well packed. Super recommend!

Am 63 and took my first surf lesson with Ty. A really good experience - he was personable and easygoing, gave good instruction. I was confident I knew what I needed to do to be successful and have fun once we hit the water. A great day. Store staff was very nice and friendly as well. Highly recommend.

Our son had an amazing first surf lesson with Blane! He was very thorough with instruction prep and gave him great confidence. He got up on the board several times! He had a blast! He left saying “I want to go to surf camp with Blane”. We can’t wait to come back.

We had our first SUP lessons ever on Thursday, 6/16 with our Surf Station instructor Emily. What a great time we had! Emily was kind, patient and encouraging. We are not spring chickens, but Emily got us up and going in no time. She and the staff at the Surf Station are wonderful. They reminded us both of the Old Florida we once knew, even the Station itself had that feel. Thanks again Emily!

My daughter and I took a surf lesson from Blane today. We had a fantastic time! I highly recommend Blane is you want to try surfing. He is a nice young man who makes the lesson fun and enjoyable! He is knowledgeable and was concerned about our safety. We will definitely look him up next time we are in town for a second lesson!

We had a super afternoon surfing with Blane. We reserved a lesson for 3 kids and 2 adults at the Surf Station. Blane kept in touch by text and let us know he would have wetsuits and boards ready for us. It was nice to be able to park at the surf shop and walk directly to the beach. Blane gave us great beach-side pointers and then got us going in the water. He was enthusiastic but also calm and kind. He had the newbies popping up and surfing within a few minutes. Blane was also able to help my 14-yr old son (who had some prior surfing experience) progress and learn some new techniques. A great experience for all!!

My granddaughter had her first surf lesson with Ty this morning. He is a great instructor. My granddaughter is very shy and Ty was extremely accommodating and encouraging. She loved the lesson and really liked Ty.
Sign up was easy but very confusing getting to instructors. Thankfully, Ty was very helpful. A wonderful experience. Thanks Ty.

The surf station 2 has very great customer service and the boards are very fairly priced and defined, I have had many questions going into the surf station 2 in the past and they have helped me answer everything to the best of they’re abilities. I went in they’re for a board and came out with one for a very good price thanks to the help of the surf station 2 i highly recommend them if your looking for a nice board no matter experience level to stop by and pop in!

My 15 year old daughter had a 90 minute surf lesson with Blane today. It was 60 degrees. Wind blowing the wrong way and mediocre wave action. I was a little nervous this wasn't going to go well.
He had her up and surfing in 20 minutes. In between waves they discussed movies, comics and where the good cookies are in town. Everytime she got up and surfed. Blane was cheering and clapping her on. We could hear him from shore.
She had the time of her life. Blane is a fantastic teacher. I highly recommend if you ever wanna learn to surf,get Blane to teach you. .

We were lucky enough to get Blane as our surf instructor. He was patient and knowledgeable which was appreciated as we are complete novices. We accomplished the goals we set for ourselves and had a great time in the surf. We would definitely recommend surf station 2 to anyone looking to dip their toes into surfing 🏄‍♂

I absolutely love the staff and atmosphere at surf station. My bf and I took a few surf lessons with Blane and he was so helpful and awesome. I absolutely loved his vibe and personality. He is definitely the guy to go to!! :)

Easily scheduled surf lesson for my ten year old. We hit the jackpot with Blane being our surf instructor. Per my ten year old, Blane was a good teacher, super chill and I’d like to surf with him again. Five star experience with surf shop and five stars for Blane!

Blane was awesome! Super friendly, patient and helpful. We had such a fun time and felt like experts by the end of our lesson :). Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for surf lessons!

Ryan was the best instructor! This experience was amazing coming from 2 people who never surfed before. He was very professional and great communication when to "pop up" as we were clueless. Beautiful scenery as well. Can't recommend this place enough and Ryan is the person to go to!

This place is a great one! I got a lesson for surfing here. I had an amazing experience. Im a 13 year old but I recommend this for all ages! My instructor was a good one. Emily was my instructor.

Just had the first surfing lesson in my life and I loved it! I went out with Blane for a 90 minute one on one lesson, and the biggest compliment I can pay him is that he listened to the goals and expectations I told him prior to our lesson. I wasn’t concerned about getting up on the board in my first lesson, I was in this for more than one lesson and I just wanted to go out and get comfortable with the fundamentals and enjoy myself. That’s exactly what Blane did, so of course I was ecstatic at the end of my lesson and really looking forward to the next one. When we were in a lull I’d ask him questions about surfing or work on my swim stroke. Surfing is flipping’ exhausting man, I had no idea, but after you paddle out your shoulders feel like someone started a campfire in your armpits. Then I went to pop up and felt like I had been tranked because my shoulders couldn’t lift me up! Everyone should try it and Blane is the surf whisperer!

took a surf lesson today with Blane. Cant recommend him enough, he was very safe and had me riding my board quickly. Instruction was quick and thorough. Will be coming back for another on friday! thanks again Blane.
