Piggly Wiggly

I have not seen a Piggly Wiggly in 20 years. We stopped just because of that reason. The inside was neat. I had to take pictures of all the pig signs. I bought some groceries for our mini road trip, and we were back in the car. The employees were really nice, and I liked listening to the locals talk while waiting in line.

I'm glad Piggly Wiggly is back in Texas.
I found this revival while cutting through town. This version of Piggly Wiggly is a cost plus format. So in a regular grocery store, the prices of the individual products are inflated to adjust for the store profit ex. Why some products are on sale or not even still price goes up and down.

This version of Piggly Wiggly all products are sold at cost to the store with 10% added to the bill to go to the store operating cost. (See paper advertisement below)

I recommend shopping here because of the same reasons the Piggly Wiggly lasted for so long in Denton. Sometimes you just want to get your groceries and go. I love to cook so I want to get my meals going for the next few days. In a supercenter I can buy everything but it takes time I don't have. If you can't get a spot up front you park in the back. Then you go through long aisles for basic ingredients. Then it's time to fight with the automatic check out before walking a ways back to your spot.

This store is a small grocery store, I was surprised how clean and neat it was for such an old shopping center. They have a produce section and a decent meat market section. The staff is actually really friendly and there is no automatic check out, if you are missing the human connection stop by and say Hi.

I stop by pick up few things several times week since My car broke down and drawing social security check as I'm not old enough drawride motorized bicycle haven't been able to find car I can afford paying cash for haven't found anyone that been willing to finance me a car 🚗 town it's been a really sobering experience past eight year's and live on the westside haven't drove car in five or six years or so I think thing I've missed

The employees are very nice and we are grateful to have a grocery store here on the "bad" side of town.

Clean stove

Very clean & everything was in order as far as veg's & fruits (canned items)
Customer service was very friendly & helpful.
Wish there was more breads & sweets instead of the Dollar Store types.
But all in all was very pleased with the store & workers.

I thought this was where you bought the pigs for the land? I came all the way from austin but i did buy some very nice pork so that makes up for it i also live in fake paris now so yea very nice poalso rk i forgot i was muslim guess im going to hell now hehe

Excellent place to get cheaper food than usual grocery stores. Plus, it's the only 1 on the west side, which I highly appreciate.

Been Shopping there since 1979 it was originally Piggly Wiggly next to It was Ben Franklin and Palace Drugs on other end I just turned 16 in August drove them crazy for few year's before that sweep parking lot scrape gum about 10 or 11 years old till hound till August 22 1979 got job kept till 1980 Starting Electrician's Apprentice A P Electric 17 year's old matter fact helped install the long freezer kept frozen food front isle and the walk-in freezer in back store at time it been Piggly Wiggly as changing over Super Saver helped remodel Went East Job Upper Marlboro OSHA Shut Job Down On East Coast I Became a Horsemen just as Allen Jerkens Grey Ghost's Apprentice Apprenticeship lasted eight years September 1 bag boy Manager was Bill Hutchings Owner Mr Harelled passed away several year's later

It's not save a lot but it'll do at least my same cashier's are there and that makes a difference in whether or not I shop there so I can say this about Piggly wiggly they are humane

Great place to shop. So many different items and brands. There is a 10 percent charge at the end of your bill. Customer friendly staff

It was nice. I appreciated the nice new clean carts. I just wish it had a bakery and a deli. I will be shopping there.

We enjoy having a local grocery store on this side of town when most things are on the other end here now.

5 for $20 meat selection was really great. Had a huge variety of everything
