Exceptional! If you homebrew, give these guys a try. Big selection of fresh hops, friendly and responsive CS, FAST FAST shipping. What more do you want?? Oh, great prices esp if you order hops in 8 - 16 oz sizes. Cheers!

Generally, we get our hops from our local homebrew supply store on the other side of the country from Yakima Valley, but I've ordered from YVH quite a few times now, generally for harder to find hops and for close out sales on previous harvests. They are prompt and often have great deals that make it worth the lack of free shipping (Amazon has spoiled all of us and I'm getting over that). This time, I ordered some NZ hops for an IPA and they sent me a free 2oz bag of Perle! How wonderful! If I ever get back to Central Washington or Washington in general, this is one of my must visit places.

Stopped by during a trip to the Moxee Hop Festival - the homebrew supply store no longer exists (turns out they spun off their stock to the nearby Ace Hardware store), but I was still able to purchase a good amount of hops while I was here!!

Everyone I met was incredibly kind and helpful, and I was able to tour the facility while I waited for my online order to be fulfilled on the spot! As a special treat, I was able to meet the head brewer for Shorthead Brewing whose currently using some space in the former homebrew store.

Overall, it's an incredible space and would highly recommend swinging by if given the opportunity!!

Initially, there was a problem with my order. They responded to my email and shipped out the missing items what seemed to be as soon as was humanly possible, so even just for the service alone I will definitely be ordering from them again. It may be of note to some that this is one of the few homebrew places in the Lower 48 that will ship at a reasonable price to Alaska!

Edit: since had a couple more quickly-delivered orders without any issues. Awesome place.

I've ordered both hops and rhizomes from Yakima Valley Hops and have never had a bad experience. Their customer service is incredible, always going above and beyond and the prices are very reasonable. I will never order hops or rhizomes from anywhere else.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this company and their customer service. I have almost exclusively bought hops from them for the last four years and have loved being apart of the hop box subscription service. The hops have always been fresh and keep over a long period time. I made a mistake when ordering my last subscription box and they went above and beyond to help me correct it. This is by far one of my favorite brew supply shops.

Placed my order on Monday and received it by 11am on Wednesday in Minnesota. Hop pellets were well packed and the rhizomes I also ordered were sprouted, just waiting to go in the ground. Way better quality rhizomes than I have received from local store. Thank you for the quality products and quick shipping. Will definitely order again!

I've bought hops from Yakima Valley many times, I live in the UK. The hops are always great value, with superb experimental varieties. Their service is outstanding.

I just had to take a second to stop and tell you guys how awesome you are. Ever since I heard about you guys on the brulosophy podcast I have had great experiences. You guys ship your packages as quickly as possible, package everything very well, and the brewing ingredients are always top-notch and fresh. The cool stickers you guys put in the orders are a nice touch too. I feel like I struck gold as far as finding a quality brew supply shop. Even your prices are great. The cost of ingredients for one of my brews even including shipping is still less than what many of my local brew shops charge. Thanks for being awesome! If I am ever out that way I will stop in to see the shop.

I’ve been homebrewing for about 7 years and only started ordering hops from YVH in the last 6 months. I can’t even describe the difference in my hoppy beers since ordering from them. I always just thought homebrew level hops just aren’t that good until ordering from YVH. Now, I can actually describe each individual hops contribution to the beer instead of a nondescript “it’s hoppy”. I love YVH

This place is awesome! I moved here about a year ago and as a home brewer living in Yakima...these guys don't disappoint. Not only are they friendly and knowledgeable, but they have fantastic prices on hops, grains, and brew equipment. I upgraded my entire brewery through here and all my new SSBrewtech equipment arrived on time and packaged well. To the guy that gave these people one star because they didn't restock a specific ingredient, you're a moron because they would order anything you need if you let them know. Like the Mexican lager yeast they ordered up for me. Just don't expect them to reorder something if you don't tell them to.

Hands down what I consider to be the best homebrew supply store in the northwest. I've traveled a lot and visited a lot of stores in California, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. This locally owned store has a owner's presence about it. The owners are hands on, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about the products they sell. The selection is great for any brewer but as an all-grain brewer, I haven't been in even once and they haven't had what I needed. The owners create an atmosphere where you want to stay and you feel the essence of brewing about the old converted hops warehouse (still an active hops warehouse and distributor). I drive from the Tri-Cities and plan my stops in advance. Definitely worth the few minute drive off the highway. Clearly, the owners take pride in what they do and what they sell. The put the "craft" touch into their shop. Most shops don't. Top notch fellas and keep up the good work. -Drew

Definitely my new favorite place for hops shipped to me. Ordered on a Friday morning and received the following Tuesday morning from Washington to Missouri. All hops were vacuum sealed and the prices can't be beat!

I've been buying hops from them for about a year now. I buy bulk (no less than 1lb per variety) and typically get 3lbs per order. Not only are their prices competitive and shipping costs low (if you get it in a USPS flat rate envelope), but their hops smell and taste fresh. You can tell they handle the hops well as they seem to be fresher and more aromatic than what I normally get at a LHBS even if they are from 2013 (this post is in 2015). They also sent me 4 ounces of free hops because they thought I might like to try a new variety! That kinda blew me away, I didn't expect to get basically $10 of free hops (at typical LHBS prices), it was a very nice surprise. I'd recommend them to anyone buying in bulk and looking for fresh tasting, vibrant smelling hops.

Excellent customer service - awesome quality product! It's such a joy to be able to brew with FRESH first quality hops, and when you add nice people and an eagerness to make customers happy, well friend, you have a winner. Earlier I had to call YVH to change a shipping address on a hop order I had placed on the internet. When it first it appeared that my shipping address change had not been processed by YVH's internal system, the girl on the phone went into the warehouse and personally changed the address, ensuring that my package would arrive at the correct location. Thanks y'all!
