Ray's Food Place

Talk about a down home, friendly experience! We recently moved here and the cashier spoke to us as if we'd been locals for years. The produce is always extremely fresh and the aisles are well-stocked. Parking in Jacksonville may be tricky in most places; but not at Ray's. The lot is easily accessible and accommodating for our big truck.

This store has a little bit of everything everything you need if you need to grab it on the go. They also have a small deli section and fresh donuts in the morning. They have a decent wine selection fruit veggies milk products etc. And they also have Boba jelly beans.

Best Ray's in the whole Rogue Valley because it is a true Country Market. Very clean. Very personable and helpful employees.

Shop there several times a week. Organic tortillas, chocolate milk, mud slide cake, wines, gift cards.

They saved my bacon when I left my wallet on the way out. There it was the next day safe and sound.

The people who work there are always courteous and willing to help you. The layout of the store makes it easy to find what your looking for. The deli is fantastic and the outside BBQ has the best cuts of meat! The meat Dept has the freshest cuts of meat and a wonderful variety!
When I moved here, made me feel "at home" just knowing that there was a Ray's here!

Every time I visit this store, reminds me of when I go to my grandma's house every summer till I was 15. My grandparents live near Jacksonville, and the store also has memories for the rest of my family. My grandma wanted the best for me and she can hardly say no to save her life, so she would always buy me a tub or two of ice cream if I missed my family back in Salt Lake City. So little memories, but always feels good going there! The employees work really hard and most of them are super friendly and kind!

The 44oz. Lids and large straws had run out but the dude in the deli was fast and friendly. Replaced them with a smile.

I went to check out and accidentally went to a closed register, but the girl opened it up for me and was also really friendly.

I was there to meet some people and buy a car from craigslist. Even that went well. Perfect experience all around!!

Bought a beautiful fresh cut Christmas tree, twice the nice cashier lady offered to get a guy to help me load it into my truck, if I had been alone I would have taken her up on the offer, my boyfriend was taking care of it. What a great price, only $64.99 for a Noble.

Treat yo self. Smoked tri trip on the weekends for under $30. Delish too! Most rays also have an ace hardware now. Prior to Aces acquisition. Rays was full of basic white people food. Casserole fixings everywhere. Two full isles of soda stock!

This is great little grocery. We ordered the sandwich trays every day for a week to fee our volunteers at the Applegate Open Paragliding National Championship this June. They kept everyone happy and well nourished. Can't thank the folks in the deli enough for the great job.

The best place for good cheap ice cream cones, you might think they stop selling them in winter but you thought wrong! If you are not a coward they often have pumpkin pie ice cream which is heavenly and candy can which just tastes like Christmas. Other than the ice cream the store is ok, the bathrooms are super sketchy though, you have to go up some old rickety stairs in the back room and you will probably regret it.

We go to Ray's in Jacksonville on Sunday mornings for Stray Cats car meets.

Could not find an item but all three employees went out of their way to help me locate it. Ended up being in a box that had not yet been put on the shelves. Was very happy as it saved me a trip to another store.

It's all good! live in JVille so want to frequent all establishments where our spending goes. Love the people at Ray's especially the cashier "janet" You know you have a jewel there!

Great place to have in Jville ... also hardware store so nice to have out here. Great customer service.

Friendly people, good fresh produce available in organic. A good variety of special choice/nutrition food (almond milk, Amy's products, huge odwalla section.) Fresh meats (many choices of high quality locally sourced meats) butcher on hand to help. Some gourmet cheeses and meat (perfect for making a picnic or boxed lunch to take up to Britt.)

Usually not much of a line here. Their chicken strips are some of the best. A little pricier then other places but it's great to know you'll be in and out in no time if need be.
