Ordered favorite candy and received it before Christmas in Georgia. Had candy also sent to my sister in Ohio. Both of us was very satisfied! Thank you so much. Don't give up if your phone calls to store go unanswered.

Grew up in Dover and have great memories of the special occasions where we would get Eilers Candy. Would highly recommend to anyone stopping by. A gem of Dover. High-quality, delicious chocolates and roasted nuts.

It has been years since I’ve purchased anything here. But given the most recent reviews listed on their facebook page, I thought I’d stop in and see what all the fuss was about.

Clearly, the agenda (or apparent lack of oxygen) by a few has impaired their ability to leave an honest review - based on my experience:

Upon entering this small establishment, I noticed a (clean) and organized area for customers to order.

Upon entry, a sweet - older than I - lady politely asked “what can I do for you?”. (Perhaps she is the owner, I am not sure.)

As I assumed Eiler’s has been negatively affected by the uncertainty of the last couple months, (much like every small business has been affected by government interference), I ordered more chocolate than what I would normally consider.

The chocolate was enjoyed by my kids, and my wife. Their review is 5 stars, based on Taste.

My review is 5 stars based on my experience.

Despite the negative reviews posted here, I would recommend any reasonable person stop in, buy some of their great chocolate, and see this sweet lady.

Based on my experience today. I can only assume the recent barrage of negative reviews were published by many who have not recently, or perhaps have never stepped foot inside the door.

Additionally, all of the recent negative reviews appear to be in response to something posted on the door - unrelated to the business’ service, or product. Unless of course an agenda, or lack of oxygen would impair one’s ability to reason.

Because I can’t imagine someone would purposefully leave such a bad review for such a sweet lady.

Always been my FAVORITE since childhood. Great Candy and Nuts. Old time Soda Fountain. They even had a President stop here while on tour. Nice laid back atmosphere.

I think I give it 5 stars for the nostalgia. Local candy shop & soda fountain that has been in the same place since the dawn of time. Candy/chocolates are good but not high end. Worth the stop if you are near or driving by.

Every negative comment I have read talks about them not requiring masks and being rude because they don't require them. Not one mention of anything else that is actually wrong. It looks like the Facebook Fact Checkers are also now Google Review Writers as well. Grow up people!

Nice place. I always stop there whenever I am close. Great candy nuts and popcorn. Wonderful hospitality.
