Great music playing! Customer service was so good. The young man was so nice and helpful with his recommendations and letting me sample the flavors. The banana pudding ice cream tastes so good, not artificial. The ice creams are not too sweet but flavorful. I’d definitely come back!

Love love love it. I’m technically lactose intolerant but I can handle fresh gourmet ice cream well. The flavors are delicious, the work staff are all young and vibrant and like what they’re doing. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming.

Absolutely LOVE the honey graham and banana pudding ice cream flavor! This is my third time visiting! 1st, was for the soft opening, 2nd was for the grand opening and 3rd was today (8/26/22) after seeing their special on channel 7 today! 🙌🏼👏🏼Decided to try the peach cobbler and it was delicious! I want to try the sweet ice and apple cobbler next!🙌🏼 The drive thru is decent, but the inside is very beautiful!

I tried their peach cobbler and loved the fresh peach taste. The rum pound cake was also delicious. I'll definitely be back for more.

Regular and vegan ice cream with about 20 creative flavors. I got a “single” which was 3 small scoops of 1 flavor. The shop is beautiful, they also have a drive thru. Rich and creamy, yum!

I have never tasted ice cream this good! It's addictive and just totally delicious. The peach cobbler is also a must have, it melts in your. Mouth. Don't take my word, try it for yourself. I bet that you will be hooked too!

Ice cream is very fresh and delicious. Not your average ice cream shop. Highly recommend.

What can I not say about Shawn Michelle ice cream? The best ice cream I've ever tasted in all Illinois! The portion size is adequate and delicious 😋. The pricing is a few dollars excess. But for the BOGO special it's completely worth it! Plus being African American owned. Makes its even more special.

The ice cream and service are amazing! I enjoyed my chocolate brownie ice cream and my peach cobbler was super fresh and delicious.

Incredible! The wait in line was worth it. I tried the Banana Pudding along with the Black Walnut ice cream. Both very delicious. Both were flavorful with nice custard consistency. The banana tasted like fresh bananas loaded with vanilla wafers. The Black Walnut had a reasonable amount of real nut pieces. Large pieces that you could actually bite into. The service was attentive and friendly. The owner came out and greeted everyone! I can’t wait to try the other flavors!

Just so delicious! Even the sugar free vanilla is great. Definitely try the cobbler and they also have funnel cake at the Olympia fields. Super friendly staff and easy to get to location in burbs.

Lunchroom cookie ice cream is ALWAYS a hit!! I love Shawn Michelle’s Homemade Ice cream both the Hyde Park location and the new Flossmore location.

I ordered the peachcobbler ala'mode. The peach cobbler was delicious! The ice cream tastes like homemade vanilla. I am impressed and I will bring my family. We do ice cream with the kiddos when they get good reports from school. So we will be seeing you over the weekend.

Excited to try more items as it all looked divine! As we waited for our shrimp the shop owner (I believe) handed out samples of the mango sweet (sherbet like) ice cream. It was delicious! I had to the try the Pina Colada. It was also good but I liked the mango better. Service was good. I will be back to try more.

My husband and I really enjoyed the treats, the staff and the comfortable feel of the place.

They have banana pudding AND banana pudding ice cream and it's PHENOMENAL! I'm actually about to get some now.

Bought a Carmel Rum cake for Thanksgiving. Looked scrumptious. Took as a gift
