I was at work and I asked my coworker, " Hey, where can I get a good sandwich?" This place was recommended. I wondered, how good could a sandwich be from a liquor store? this was the most sandwichy sandwich if sandwich ever sandwiched!!! I ordered the turkey sub and it was QUITE DELICIOUS!!! I will be eating here again

I asked for an off-menu all vegan deli sub (no meat no cheese) and he made me a perfect treat packed with all the veggies and avocado, drenched with gardinera and oil and vinegar. Yumballs! I love bread

I know another reviewer already stated this, but, the sandwiches here bring back memories of Heroes’ across from Lane Tech. Actually, I ate at Heroes right before they shut down for Covid and the sandwiches didn’t even measure up to what they were in the old days.

If it wasn't for the sign (and a healthy proximity to both The Walk In and The Harding Tavern) this place would be nondescript. Once you go inside, it's an old-timey liquor store (darker lighting, homey atmosphere) that you used to run into all the time before Binny's and other warehouse stores became prevalent. A really solid stock of beer and hard liquor alike, with American stock (bourbon, rye, etc.) predominating as far as whiskey is concerned. I got a bottle of Tullamore Dew since I haven't had it in years, but you will spend plenty of time browsing here - and for good reason.

Thank you to the staff at Red Star, they spromptly cancelled my order when i called, while Uber Eats closed my ticket without a refund of $50. I will definitely pick up my subs from now on. Do not use Uber Eats.

The Red Star Liquor has a deli inside which has, in my opinion, the best sandwiches in Logan square. Deli is open until 8:30 PM, seven days a week.

If you remember the Subs from HERO'S across the street from Lane High School you will LOVE the Subs from Red Star....Good portions of Cold Cuts, Torano bread and really good Giardenera! Sub, Chips and Soda ONLY $8.....YOU WILL LOVE IT!

The deli sandwiches are fantastic. Great beer, wine and liquor selection. They even have an entire refrigerator case of Ben & Jerrys!

This is the smile I had leaving #RSL!! The service was both friendly & informative. BONUS: Only place for miles & MILES, open till 3 am on Saturday, which is super important when the 2nd wind of the louse party starts when u get there... The reveal of full bottle of booze & munchies brings the cheers, which is the catalyst to an energy shift back up where it need to be!

Go to spot for beer and wine, and they just opened up a little deli in the corner of the store. It's a little out of place but it's not bad.
