Been shopping here for about a year. They changed management in late 2023 and it has dramatically improved, especially with bulk food options. This is the place to go if you like to bring your own jars for food and avoid plastic.

The democratic, community-owned aspect is cool too. Just wish people participated in it more so that they could shape the DPFC to fit community needs better.

Stopped in today for a quick grab and go lunch. Sushi is usually my go to when I see it, and I am so glad I did! I cannot believe how fresh and flavorful it was, with huge chunks of fish in the roll. This would have cost twice as much and not nearly as fresh as other stores, like while foods and trader joes. I grabbed some soup (also amazing), a couple grocery items, and ciders for later. Definitely check this place out and find some hidden gems!

Love the Pickle! Such a fun and unique part of Logan Square. Always have a great selection of delicious hot soups, lots of great coop deals, and extremely friendly staff.

I also love all their events and social media presence. Thank you Dill Pickle!

Their discounted sushi on Wednesdays might be the best sushi I've ever had from a grocery store. The spicy tuna tasted especially fresh and was actually slightly spicy.

Wonderful neighborhood supermarket. All neighborhoods need more of these. On the more expensive side but has good quality, everyday items.

Dill pickle has a great mission and a great store. The product and quality here of the food is great. The staff are always friendly and available. The produce section is great and they have a wonderful selection of cheeses. A small amount of deli items. The chipotle chicken salad they put out is fantastic. Never mind it's bad nobody get it it's usually sold out.... I love the fact we have a great little market with some local food and good options in Chicago in the Logan square area

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable on the products they sell. Staple fruits/vegetables that are in season. Local pork products. Quite a few bulk: dry foods, soaps, and lotions.

Nice and relatively affordable. Some items are overpriced, like sesame oil, because they are organic. I enjoy the bulk spices and teas, as these are very cost efficient. Good selection of foods for various dietary restrictions, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian.

Wonderful organic coop store that has plenty of local food tie ups from farms to bakeries.

I absolutely love this place. Logan Square had a bit of a dry spell in terms of walk-able grocery store options for some time. The Dill coming to the neighborhood was a welcome addition. The store is well stocked with so many options to choose from. While their prices on some items may be more than say Jewel or another chain store, I don't find most everyday items to be that far off and the quality is fantastic. Their prepared food options are fantastic and I love that they carry local farmers market faves (so I don't have to wait until Sunday). Staff is always friendly as well.

I'd like to add to my review, upon seeing the most recent 1-star. People with customer-facing jobs should never accept someone making them uncomfortable - it is abusive to assume they should concede to it.

A bit expensive (as goods are of a higher quality vs regular commercial grocers) but usually the inventory here is really great

The staff are all usually great conversations as well. Good co-op!

I appreciate this grocery store so much. They have everything that you need and a super friendly staff. I am thinking of becoming a co-op owner, as they’ve built something genuine and well-taken care of. Support this cooperative when you get the chance, and every chance after that.

Wonderful grocery co-op. Open to the public but you can join if you want to contribute to them and the community.

I've gone past this place countless times without going in, and I should've done it earlier. It has a Whole Foods vibe without the entire "Whole Paycheck" price aspect on most of their stock, and there's any number of small, local brands that they stock that I've literally never seen anywhere else. It's not a huge place and there are drawbacks to being a coop (the deli is only open to 2pm, for example), but if you're looking to buy organic or local producers this is the place. The website offers buy-in options if you're interested in taking shares as an owner.

Love to support the local co-op and encourage you to do so too! You can even become a part-owner for a small one-time buy-in and enjoy discounts that will recover this cost. Having a local business like this allows you to also give input on what products you’d like to be added to the store. They also have a great composting program and bulk selection of items, including non-food bulk items like lotions, hand sanitizers, soaps. You just bring in your own refillable bottle. Every little bit of these types of acts helps the environment from plastic waste. Just a wonderful local place to support for high quality and eco-friendly products. The employees are also incredibly kind, and the check-out girl spent so long walking us through all the details of our membership and all the perks we should take advantage of. Love this place and will make it our only go-to spot!

A great shopping experience always. Dill dickle has everything you think a co-op will have. A great selection of local and organic fruits and veg; a big bulk section for grains, nuts, and spices; a process-your-own but butter station; great selection of fancy yogurts and cheeses; and a solid little wine shop. This little co op is a great resource in our community!

It’s the first coop we have ever shopped at and we liked it. My daughter has celiac and wants to be a vegetarian- very hard. We were able to find good options for her. It’s not cheap, but you don’t have to spend ton of time reading labels, work is already done for you. We were not happy with the melon we bought, but tomatoes were great- so just use your best judgment when you shop.
