Most of the reviews are older and don't give an accurate impression of this PO at all. I still stand by my 5-star review from last year.

Given the current state of USPS overall, the Florham Park crew has done a great job. I went today to send off important documents and the clerk who helped me explained the different shipping methods and what was covered (tracking, insurance, etc.) under each. Though I am not in their service area, they've always been helpful, kind, and humorous (when it's not crazy busy).

Clerks get the brunt of many USPS complaints, usually ones that are NOT their fault and totally out of their control. It's easier to write about a bad experience than think about the PO in its full context. The agency at-large has a lot of issues. The clerks at the desk do not and that's what I am focused on in this review.

I needed to set up a PO box and forward and Mary was so helpful. Not only did I watch as she engaged in friendly conversation with 3 other customers in front of me, she was so kind and patiently walked me through the process. Such a lovely soul.

I am shocked by the current rating. This is one of the best post offices I ever used. The line was never too long, the workers are efficient and helpful. I send a lot of packages thru them. This is my go-to post office.

I had a problem with my mail and a postman came to my home right away to solve my problem. I was very happy with the service I received.

Mary was very helpful. Had multiple Pkg's she was patient in explaining the different prices and delivery times for each one.

I've been here a couple of times for pedestrian needs. Service seemed about typical of most post offices. I get that this means that this is what one might expect at a highly-bureaucratic, quasi-government run, DMV-esque operation ... because that's what it is. Good location.

Its the post office. What else can I say. Always a line but they do get things done for you...Eventually.

Post office service is fast usually. I assume Carlos the oldish guy that usually works there can be a bit abrupt. Mary and the other woman working there are pretty nice. Mail sometimes doesn't through and postage math gets miscalculated sometimes when they send mail back to me. We get the wrong mail pretty often, so be aware of checking your received mail before you leave. East Hanover has a better Post Office, except their parking lot is tight.

First of all, these people seem to have trouble telling time because they lock the door before the stated closing time. Second - DO NOT send packages from this post office without getting a receipt stating what time the packages were dropped off, otherwise the packages will just sit there and they will argue that it was received much later than the actual time. Finally, they do not even know how much stamps are worth - I just had a large amount of mail returned to me for insufficient postage - the postage was correct, they were too stupid to realize that a Henry James stamp is valued at three ounces (92 cents) and not a forever stamp at 50 cents. If you want your mail to arrive at its correct destination in a timely manner, avoid this post office at all cost - go to Madison, they are so much nicer and more efficient and helpful.
