East Cherry Flats

First things first, the property manager at East Cherry Flats, Jennifer Blazonis, is amazing. She was very knowledgeable and made the (stressful) process of finding & moving into a new apartment (after the semester had begun) a breeze. Jennifer is very responsive on answering questions and scheduling work orders to fix issues that were found upon moving in. Additionally, scheduling work orders via the resident portal is easy and the response is quick.

The apartment complex is clean, quiet, fully furnished and very close to Missouri State which is a major plus. Although I wish there was more gated parking available, the street parking around the building seems to be adequate so far.

We have had a wonderful experience working with Jennifer B and the team at Southwood Properties. Exceptional customer service is hard to find in today's world and we very much appreciate Jennifer and her team.

Sabrina is so helpful! She’s great at getting back to tenants quickly. Plus, she makes sure things get taken care of! Super attentive to all tenants needs.

Beautiful place. I just delivered Uber there. But your signs have wrong address number. They say 1234 E. Cherry instead of what it should be 1243 E. Nice place though

East cherry flats is good place to stay, we spent a year there happily. Property manger Sabrina took care of us very well. Thanks lot!

The flat is clean and really close to campus. It only need about 10 minutes walk to MSU and pricr cutter. It's close to taco bell, burger king, and domino's.

Super convenience for MSU students, no-furnitures residents and downtown area employees. Office ladies were super nice to help with every questions. Thank you!

throughout the application process, the property manager was an A+ service, she is exactly what other apartment complexes should strive to hire.

I've lived here for a year and it has all the facilities and a gym. I enjoy living here very much.

Terrible time with management, record all phone calls and get everything in writing! Recording all interactions is legal in Missouri with only one party knowing, strongly recommended with this company. Even with evidence they still would not take responsibility. Worst experience of my life

Called once with questions about rentals - they took my callback info. No call back. Called again to talk to someone, but "the person I'm assigned to" is not in the office and I not allowed to be "reassigned to someone else"? What a stupid process... moving on...

BEWARE of Southwood Properties, lived at two of their properties and both times Southwood and Kassandra Lee showed that they are slumlords preying on college students. I lived at Alexandria (riddled with roaches and only two streets over) and then East Cherry Flats. Initially I thought I was in heaven as the building looked beautiful; however, the apartment I moved into was DISGUSTING filled with flies and moldy food in the fridge when they claimed it would be cleaned before anyone moved in (p.s. cleaning crew never set foot in my apartment the entire year I lived there and I trust me I tried to hold them to their word) so I got to spend my entire first two days at my new expensive apartment cleaning someone else’s mess. Our dishwasher never worked and smelled despite maintenance trying to fix it FIVE TIMES so we just couldn’t use it, many outlets didn’t work, and I even had to get my family’s help in getting repairs made as I constantly felt like Southwood was trying to take advantage of me and the fact that I was a college student with no nearby family. Also to top it all off, my property manager broke down IN MY APARTMENT crying about how bad Southwood was to work for then proceeded to quit leaving the building manager-less for months. By the time I got out of there I was so ready to leave and yet Southwood and Kassandra Lee continued to try to gouge us every step of the way out. For the same price there are much better options in the area as I have come to learn, don’t let them fool you into thinking otherwise. I am not usually one to post such negative reviews; however, in doing this I hope I can save more families from the situation I was put in!

Would not recommend living here. Lived here for two years and the management can be rude and unavailable. The apartment was cute at first but appliances were breaking left and right. Also, a bit overpriced for not even having a pool for the residents.
