We had a FANTASTIC experience! My family and I were passing through and stumbled upon this mom and pop brick and mortar. Rick was so welcoming and gave us an 11/10 experience. They were unexpectedly short on staff that day and Rick did a great job keeping things moving. The food was delicious and exactly what we were craving. I ordered the catfish with collard greens and spaghetti. My family tried the Mac n cheese, smothered chicken, peach cobbler and yams and we were very satisfied with it all!

Heads up, not a lot of seating inside. There are two tables outside. If the back side coffee is closed, the food part might still be open so don’t be turned away driving by, since it’s tucked away and looks like a drive through bank.

Great food from great people, & EVERYTHING I have tried from this place is 🔥🔥🔥🔥! If you like good local cooking, give this place a try & I promise you'll come back.

The food was delicious fresh hot and all around wonderful. I will be back the next time I come to Springfield

A perfect introduction to what soul food can be. Their porkchop is perfect, and all of their sides are great! They could use better organization, but they're perfect where it counts

Great staff, nice atmosphere and WICKED good soul food. Had the fried chicken wings, candied yams, collard greens and banana pudding. The banana pudding is so good, it should be illegal.

Needed more choices on the menu. Great people and service. The food was a good portion to feed you, and the taste was good for the soul

Stopped in to try some soul food for the first time and it was pretty good stuff, had the catfish, meatloaf and double collard greens. As my kids would say, "bussin."

The meatloaf was really good, but the real shining stars were the sides. The Mac and cheese is exactly what I think of when craving it. The green beans were the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.

Ordered a peach cobbler and took it home. Warmed it up the next night and it was still amazing!

Worth the price, great southern food. I was bit confused finding the place its a tiny bank that has been turned into a eatery

Got the oxtail plate and it was DELICIOUS! So much food for a great price! Here is a picture of the leftovers... seriously, they give you A LOT of food! 😋

LISTEN !!!!! I’ve been in Springfield Mo for almost 2 years. I’m from South Carolina where soul food is the best besides seafood. I decided to try Queen City Soul Kitchen and it’s only one word for them AMAZING…..FINALLY SOME SOUL FOOD I really can enjoy…

Went with a friend so we could try several menu items, everything was absolutely delicious. The best fried chicken I’ve ever had, the meatloaf was perfect. Meals came with complimentary cornbread, we got mac n cheese and collard greens as our sides and they were fantastic! Bread pudding was spectacular! Thank you Davey for going above and beyond preparing and serving our food. Will be coming back!!

Absolutely the best down home soul food we have ever had. Fried catfish was awesome, collard greens can't get any better, meatloaf was amazing. Corn bread was the best I have eaten. Everything was great and the service was above wonderful. When a cook comes out to your table and actually ask you how you like you fish fried, above and beyond, Most amazing beautiful lady at the county.

Had the fish sandwich this time and I was NOT disappointed at all! My picky eater actually loved the melt in your mouth meatloaf and the pineapple cheesecake. If you haven't tried this place I highly recommend that you try it out!

Man, oh man, I have eaten here so many different times and every time it reminds me WHY I LOVE this place. So my grandma's meat loaf has literally been the ONLY meat loaf I would ever eat from the time I was a kid up until I tried theirs. My girlfriend ordered their meatloaf and I tell you what I was SO impressed I was literally like WOW this meat loaf is AWESOME. I have had the chicken and dumplings on more than one occasion and they were amazing as well, all the sides and the yams, oh the yams I could literally get full on just the yams they are so good. The green beans are always fantastic and on point. The peach sweet tea is always good as well and the banana pudding. I can't say enough good things about this place for being tucked away in the neighborhood this place is all around amazing.
